Story
This is a courtesy post and we are helping this sweet boy find his forever home. Dutch is one of the funniest doggies we have had. He just turned 2 years old. He has obedience training on his resume and is a good natured and fun loving dog. He likes kids and loves playing with other dogs. Because he is so playful we think kids 9 years old and older will be best. He is also best with slow intros to dogs because he is an excitable dog. He does live with 5 other dogs in his foster home and knows how to listen to commands and boundaries when his human guides him. He LOVES toys. He sleeps with a stuffy. Dutchy sits and waits to get the ok to eat his meals. When he takes treats from you he is ever so gentle, it’s very endearing. He loves his cuddles kisses and belly rubs especially at bedtime before going nite nite. He has puppy energy and would be best suited with a doggy parent/family who is active and has space for him to run a lot. We believe he would be best in a house with a fenced in backyard. A park or hiking trails nearby would be a plus. You will fall in love and have years of fun ahead with this lovable, intelligent boy. If he is the one for you please reach out to us. We would love for you to meet him. Dutch was saved at 7 months old from the Devore animal shelter where he was always kenneled with other dogs because he is friendly and playful. He has good recall so once he trusts you he will always come back to you and be by your side. Dutch is in Los Angeles, California and his foster family will drive him anywhere in the U.S. to an approved adopter if he is your match.

I’m Gina! A small size 2-year-old German Shepard mix looking to start my new journey in Los Angeles. I am a Tijuana Mexico street survivor. Luke was rescued from the San Diego Humane Society. He is a young Plott Hound mix, approximately 74 pounds in weight. He is very majestic with stunning black and brown brindle fur, amber soulful eyes, and a tall muscular stature. According to the American Kennel Club the Plott Hound is intelligent, alert, and confident. He can be a tail-wagging, people-loving dog, but may be a bit standoffish, since he is extremely smart and focused. From a health perspective the AKC says Plotts are generally healthy dogs. A responsible breeder will have had the dog's parents screened for health concerns such as hip dysplasia. Pendant ears such as the Plott's can be prone to infection, so the ears should be checked regularly. Plott Hounds are tough, relentless athletes requiring lots of exercise and outdoor time. Daily vigorous exercise such as long walks or runs or play sessions with his owner will help to keep the Plott mentally and physically healthy. Please apply to adopt Luke at www.AALOC.org.
