Brindles are the best! And Lady Bird is everything that's great about a brindle: she's sweet, gentle, low key, and super smart. Birdie is great in public and with kids. She was the chillest dog when she made her adoption event debut. She sat politely in front of anyone who walked up to pet her. Birdie loves car rides and hanging out on the couch. She's fully vetted including spay, adult shots, and is on heartworm preventative. She is very good on a leash. Lady Bird is ready for a family to love and that will love how amazing she is! Meet Tigger 🐾 Tigger’s story is one of resilience. Since 2021, he’s been in and out of the Charleston Animal Society, where he was adopted, returned, and picked up again. Most recently, he came back in heartbreaking condition: emaciated, with mange, injuries that suggested he’d been through cruelty, and a spirit that still refused to give up. Despite all that, Tigger has a heart full of love and a zest for life. On walks, he’s a gentle old soul who loves soaking up nature right by your side. Once inside, he transforms into a playful goofball—tossing his toys in the air with wild delight before settling down for cuddles. He knows when to be silly, how to be affectionate and he knows when it’s time to chill. ❤️ Tigger is determined when it comes to affection, lol. When he wants love, he’ll make sure you know it, and he’ll happily curl up next to you once he’s gotten his fill. Xena is a 3-year-old Plott Hound mix weighing 52 pounds. A delightful girl, she came to us from a family who didn't want her or her ten puppy litter. How sad! But of course that's where we came in. Xena's foster says she is sweet, affectionate, playful, great with other dogs and very food motivated. (Better keep a box of bones around the house!) This girl who has been treated for heartworm would make a great addition to your family! Story
This is Lincoln. We rescued her from a sad situation, she was skin and bones and unbeknownst to us pregnant, we were 4/5th people to have her. She’s roughly 14-16 months old. When we rescued her she didn’t even have a name, she had never been shown any affection whatsoever and every time we attempted to pet her she would cower to the ground. The only consistent thing before coming to rescue is that she had always been with other dogs. She is good there and would probably be better if she wasn’t the only dog as she seeks comfort and guidance from them. We’ve worked with her and she’s past the skittish phase and is one of the most loving dogs ever seen but will likely take some time to get comfortable in a new home. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and just wants to be loved. This sweet girl is full of personality now. She has come out of her shell and will even throw you a smile. She is a great medium sized dog that weighs about 50 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. She is being fostered in North Alabama but is available to other areas via transport.

🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough.
