🐾 Hi, I’m Banks, and I’d love to tell you a little about myself! 🐾 For a long time, I sat quietly in a shelter watching other dogs get noticed while I waited. The volunteers loved me and always told me what a sweet boy I was, but I was so shy that people would walk right past me. I just didn’t know how to show them who I really was. Then one day, everything changed. A rescue lady happened to be visiting another dog, saw me sitting there, and decided I deserved a chance too. That moment changed my life, and now I’m learning what it means to be loved in an amazing foster home. Every single day I become a little more confident. I’m still a calm, gentle, easygoing guy, and I think that’s just who I’ll always be. I love following my foster mom everywhere she goes because being close to my people makes me feel safe. At bedtime, I get to sleep in the big bed, and I happily snooze there all night long. I’m also discovering something called “playing.” I get so excited when the other dogs invite me! They do these funny play bows, and I wag my tail and paw back because I really want to join in…I’m just still figuring out exactly how. I never really learned before, but I’m trying, and that’s a pretty big deal for me. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats! In fact, my cat friend and I are pretty adorable together. I lick the cat, the cat licks me, and we love relaxing side by side. My gentle heart makes me a great fit for a home with other pets, kind children, or even someone looking for a calm companion to share quiet days together. If you’re looking for a wild, bouncing-off-the-walls dog, that probably isn’t me. But if you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will quietly follow you from room to room, melt into your side, and love you with his whole heart, I think we might be perfect for each other. All I ever needed was someone to see past my shyness. Maybe that someone is you. 💜

Men are from Mars :0 Remember that theory? Men from Mars and women from Venus?? So I AM MARS!! lol and I am a male!! SO MISUNDERSTOOD!! (all women rolling their eyes :) I am a big puppy... At the rescue again after being adopted in 2020!! :( I was returned by my "family" for something the rescue did before i left as a puppy- socialize me... SO, this is the thing... when you adopt a puppy especially, take the time to SOCIALIZE them all different situations and all different people and other animals.... it is your responsibility. WE committed to Mars so if his "family" gave up on him, we would not! He is back with the rescue and looking for his FOREVER HOME! Do NOT apply to adopt him if you are not committed to him, cause he deserves better!! He is a sweet and loving guy, active and BIG so must be a good leader and must keep him happy and exercised and loved!!
