Story
Hambone is a lovable, happy-go-lucky boy who lives to make his people smile. He’s a major cuddler and total people-pleaser. He’s still working on his manners—especially his excitement jumping—but he’s very responsive to gentle correction and eager to learn. Hambone enjoys car rides, gets along well with other dogs, and absolutely adores kids. Hambone currently lives with cats but without any dog friends to play with he is a bit too excited by them. He did better previously when there was also a dog friend in the home, so Hambone may be able to live with cats with slow introductions and someone else to take his playful energy out. This sweet boy’s favorite place to be is right by your side, soaking up love and companionship. Hambone is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home. All Better World Rescue dogs include complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful transition. If you’re interested in Hambone, please fill out an adoption application — a volunteer will reach out within one business day: 👉 betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Winnie also known as “Prowler”. This girl is a 1yr old couch potato with lots of love to give! Her dream day is sleeping in until 10am, going for an easy morning walk, then back home for breakfast and to nap followed up with a bone to chew on until dinner time. She is ✨perfect✨ on leash; never pulls or barks and does not mind dogs passing by. Winnie has never had a potty accident and will always go stand by the door when she has to go potty. She is the most low maintenance dog you will ever meet! Her foster mama owns horses and Winnie does a great job at staying by her side and watching out for big hooves clomping around. With a rough start to life, Winnie was brought in as a stray who was limping around the countryside with her brother, Hambone. X-rays show BB gun pellets inside her that tells us she was shot at some point in her life. Since then, Winnie has received all the love in the world along with her surgery to repair her dislocated hip from being hit by a car. Winnie is the most grateful girl in the world. All she wants is a comfy couch, her people to cuddle up with, and a walk to sniff around twice a day. Winnie does well with cats. She has not met children but is suspected to do fine. Prowler might do fine with other dogs after a slow introduction, she likes being left alone. Will make sure she stays away from the dogs but if approaches, will defend herself. She doesn’t mind my parents dog who she hangs out with when I am working in office (3x a week). As long as the dog gives space, she is happy. Winnie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption.
