Polly Pocket is over here wondering where her forever people are, and we have the same question! Polly is total good girl status. She goes all kinds of places with foster mom, outside dining, coffee shops, hardware stores, downtown, and she handles all the hubbub cool as a cucumber, all while charming everyone she meets. Polly is great with people and has even met children and done well. Polly is a rockstar with other dogs. She knows how to read the room impressively well. If a dog wants to play and roughhouse she is absolutely down to party. If a dog would really prefer their space and not to interact, Polly just knows to respect that too. She has even slowly but surely worked her way into the hearts of dogs who otherwise say, “no thank you” to most other dogs companies, all because of her big good girl heart. Polly knows all the basics, and picks up on things quickly. She would be happy being an adventure girly, or just as happy hanging out on the couch with you, as long as some snuggles were involved. Stevie Nicks got a perfect bill of health from our vet and is ready to party with her forever people Stevie was found abandoned on a property with two labs and four kittens - their previous family moved away and left them behind as if they were garbage The labs were immediately pulled by another rescue and Stevie soon found herself all alone in the scary shelter. We met her when we made an emergency run to save our mom/daughter hippo duo from euthanasia and were instantly pulled in by her wiggle butt charm and sweet disposition. Once we heard her story, we knew we couldn’t let her down and abandon her like the other humans she once trusted. So we found ourselves leaving the shelter with three dogs instead of two, as is the Swamp Haven way Stevie can be shy and reserved when meeting new people, but she quickly pushes past her fear especially if there’s other dogs around. She is wildly dog friendly and loves to play like crazy! She is a rough and tumble girl who loves to roll around with the best of ‘em. When she’s not making new canine friends, she is cuddling up with the nearest human for some much loved butt scratches. Though she was in a home before coming to us, we don’t personally know how she is in a home setting which is why we would love to get her out of boarding and into a foster home! Or better yet, adoptive home! Stevie is roughly a year old and perfectly petite at 41 pounds. She deserves to find her true forever family - one that will make her forget all about the horrible feeling of being left behind and instead know what unconditional love feels like If that sounds like your home, give us a shout at 904-392-3416!
