Story
Kali is a three year old mixed breed. She is very good with people and other dogs. She does take a little bit to get used to people when she first meets them, but once she feels secure, she is a Velcro dog. She is crate trained. She is mostly housebroken. She does have to be watched and on a schedule. She is looking for her forever home and would love to have other pets in the home. She definitely needs some training manners. She is positive for Lyme disease, but since she has no symptoms and doesn’t appear to have had any symptoms at any time, there is nothing to do except to be mindful in the future. If she were to get sick, we do have some information that’ll come with her about Lyme disease. If you are wanting to learn more about her, please call her foster mom Denise at 630-439-6541. Kali is the sweetest and would love to snuggle with whoever her new people are and she does sleep in bed with us. She’s crated during the day because she can be mischievous but not destructive. The adoption fee is $225. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive

Story
This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Story
Meet Jax! He is a 4 yr old plott hound/lab mix boy who weighs about 40 lbs.  This handsome guy’s personality is 100% loveable. Jax is the sweetest and will shower you with tons of kisses. He is also the best cuddler, so if you are looking to watch tv he is your guy. Some of his favorite things to do are playing in the yard, romping around in the doggy pool, playing with plush toys and going for walks. Jax also likes to play with the resident dogs and run the fence line with the neighbor’s dog. Jax is potty trained and walks great on a leash. He is currently being fostered in an adult only home along with the resident dogs, cats and bunny. Children over the age of 10 is recommended due to him being so wiggly. Story
Bert is approximately 1 year old, plott hound/lab mix, 40 pound ball of snuggles. If you’re in a recliner he’s up there with you snuggling away and asleep within minutes. He walks great on a leash, even does great on slow bike rides with the leash! We have not brought him around kids or cats but he is fantastic with our dogs! We believe he would be best fit in a home with at least another dog that can keep up with his energy. If not, then he needs to be with a family who can play with him. He has been doing super well with potty training. He can sit, shake, knows “kennel up”,  and give kisses on command. He will need to be in a home where someone is home so that he can benefit from continued training and socialization.  Bert truly is the melt-iest love bug out there. He loves doing “mouth snappies” and will never bite you even if you put your hands in his mouth! Trust me we’ve tested it! It will truly be heartbreaking seeing Bert go but he deserves his forever family!  If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! Story
My name is Jim and I am a happy and carefree guy. I am about 2 years old and weigh around 35 lbs. My breed is anyone's guess! Plott hound, lab, cur... I just know that I love everything about life now that I am in a home with a family. I love hanging out with my dog “brother” and we play all the time. Nothing makes me happier than a good cuddle, scratch, or just sitting next to you on the couch, chilling. I love spending time outdoors sunbathing and going for walks. I’m pretty good about going potty outside but still need some practice. My crate is my night time sleep spot and sometimes I’ll hang out there during the day to relax. I’m really smart and have mastered basic commands. I would love to be part of your family and can’t wait to find my forever home.
