Meet Pumpernickel! This 3 month old, 24 lb, female, possible plot hound mix will melt your ! Pumpernickel has yet to embrace her hound heritage. She thinks searching for things and howling at the is for the dogs!! Pumpernickel prefers the comfort of a cozy , with or without the company of her friends! Pumpernickel is smart. Her favorite game? When everyone else goes outside, she runs to get into bed because she prefers to be carried outside! If you are looking for a plotty princess, Princess Pumpernickel is your girl!!    All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. We found this sweet little lady running down our road! She was very skinny and we have nursed her back to a healthy weight and she’s ready for her new home! I will offer to pay for her first vet visit if you adopt her! Of course she is a hunting dog so she has those tendencies but would still make a great family dog. She lives with some other dogs now but does need to eat separately from other animals. Come meet Betty!
