Meet Blaine, a 1- to 2-year-old Plott Hound mix with a heart full of joy. Blaine embodies friendship; he is friendly, playful, sweet, goofy, energetic, and loves to cuddle. Despite his fear of cats, Blaine's enthusiasm for life and his love for human companionship shine through. He is always ready for a game or a quiet evening snuggled up beside you. Adopting Blaine means bringing home a bundle of love and a faithful friend who promises to fill your days with laughter and affection. Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. Hey, Theo here. So now that I've been here awhile, I thought I would give an update. I've learned a lot about myself and I've been reflecting. I've learned that I'm pretty smart. One night, I figured out how to open my kennel door. Boy was I surprised!! I had the freedom to explore the whole place by myself. I didn't destroy not one thing! I peed on a few things, but....I didn't break anything, lol. I like to play keep away with the humans. I think it's so funny for them to chase me. I'm sassy like that. But I'm also a guy that needs hugs. I love getting pets and belly rubs. It makes me feel special to get that one on one time with the humans. Anywho, I hope that someone finds me cute. Even though sometimes, I'm annoying.
