Daisy came to us with her puppies and proved to be the gentlest, most devoted mama. She raised her babies with so much love, and now it’s finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have treats to share! Daisy is great with other dogs, crate trained, and has the softest, most loving spirit. Story
PHILLIP is a stunning young mixed breed dog looking for a home. He's around 1 year old and appears to be fully grown at 39 pounds although he could stand to gain a couple of pounds. Our best guess on breed is a Plott Hound/Beagle mix. He's trim and athletic and drop dead gorgeous, photos don't do him justice. This poor dog was trembling in fear in a rural shelter and needed someone to save him so we did. Phillip is all nose, he needs to sniff every single blade of grass in the yard. He's good natured but timid and will need some time to warm up. He's good with other dogs and needs a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Phillip, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Phillip at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Gilligan is a fantastic dog, he has a great personality and and very loving. I like to describe him like the3rd hyena off of the lion king lol the only issue he ever has is he needs to eat separate from any dog/child or anything because he used to be bullied in a kennel and has attacked our child trying to help feed him. Just feed him separately and everything will be perfect ! Would be great at hunting as well, please someone come love my sweet boy 🩵
