Story
Zeke is one year and seven months old. He is very handsome, smart, affectionate and active. He would do best in a home where he can spend time outside and a home with no other dogs. Zeke was our adult sons dog and our son took a job that requires him to be gone quit a bit so we said we would try taking him. We have three elderly dogs and Zeke is not used to being around other animals. He is very protective and aggressive towards the other dogs when it comes to food and toys. Zeke is house trained and follows several commands. He would be great for a hunter or someone that enjoys being out in the woods and nature.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HELEN was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. HELEN is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around  34 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. HELEN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for an adoption fee of $550. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Paisley Breed: Plott Hound Mix Age: 10 months old +/- Weight: 40 lbs Medical: Up-To Up-To-Date on Vaccinations, microchipped, spayed Cat Friendly: Yes Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes; Still has accidents Crate Trained: Yes; Does not love her crate Location: Texas Paisley is a sweet playful pup that is still learning and growing. She is almost completely house trained. She does still occasionally have an accident. She can be left alone for a few hours in her crate, but when left for too long she will find a way to escape. She is currently fostered with both cats and dogs and is great with both! She is a shy pooper and doesn’t like to go on leash. She loves evening potty time when the family visits the dog park or friends/ family for our daily outing off leash play time where she goes potty outside with no problems. She knows basics sit, come, lay down, shake. She does great on leash and rarely needs to be corrected. She loves being around kids and seems to be when she is best behaved. She really is a dog that gravitates towards bonding with one person, so because of that she might do best as the only dog or in a home with another dog that is laid back. She will is without a doubt a dog that will build a strong bond with her person. If you are interested in adopting Paisley, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Paisley’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
