Story
Meet mighty Bruno. Bruno is another victim of just dumping a dog in the middle of nowhere and never looking back. His current foster mom spotted him running around her little town. She attempted for almost 2 weeks to catch him. Although super friendly, Bruno was very smart and always managed to escape being captured. Then one day, there he was sitting in her yard. When she invited him inside, he came in and made himself right at home! He is currently living with 9 other dogs, and they get along great. He is submissive and easy to train. In less than a week, he learned to sit, lay, and shake. He still has a bit of growing to do and we estimate him to be about 1 year old. COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES! Story
This big boy is Rufus! Rufus is around 4 years old. This isn't his first time at the shelter- he was initially brought to the shelter from a situation in which he was not safe. He was very nervous when it came to meeting new people. The staff helped him to begin overcoming this, and he was adopted. He spent several years in that home. While in this home, Rufus underwent extensive training. Rufus needed help when it came to meeting new people- he is particularly wary of men. The home dynamic eventually changed- Rufus gained a human sibling. Rufus struggled with this change, and everyone decided that it was best that he come back to the shelter to find a home where there were no children. Rufus lived with another dog in the home, and for the most part, they did well together. Rufus did develop tendencies to guard food, toys, and spaces, and due to this, he will have to be the only dog in the home. He also thinks cats are for chasing, and he wouldn't be able to have feline roommates. So far in his time back at the shelter, we haven't experienced any resource guarding, but we are currently unsure if this could change while he is in a home. Rufus will need an experienced, confident person to help him continue on his path to success. He will need consistency, and he would greatly benefit from continued training. Rufus is very much a hound- he gets in his nose and sniffs all there is to sniff outside. He LOVES to be outside- he will zoom around and play. He also knows many commands, is very food motivated, and walks incredibly well on a leash. He was crate trained in his former home too. If you think that you could be a good fit for Rufus, please let us know! http://www.frontieranimalsociety.com/PMFAS-Adoption-Application-2021.pdf

Story
Jaxson is a plot hound and pit mix. He is 6 years old and 50+ pounds. He loves people, not good with small dogs. He loves to cuddle and play. He's a bit rough at playing because he doesn't want to stop. He is house broken and sleeps in his crate all night with no problem. Once he learns your routine, he will make sure you stick to it. He knows when it's time to wake up, time for breakfast, and time for supper. You don't need to remember as he will.
