Ginger/Marley is a very sweet girl who had a very bad start.  Ginger/Marley found her way to the LA Shelter with a badly broken front leg and that's when GreenDog Foundation swooped in to rescue her.  There was evidence of abuse in the beginning, but she has no signs now of anything bad ever happening to her.  All she wants to do is get hugs and be loved.  Marley is a Portugese Podenga mix and weighs 10 pounds.  She loves to play with her foster friends of all ages and sizes, but at the end of the day she just wants to snuggle next to you all night long.  Marley is fully vetted (she is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all shots including rabies).  Marley's adoption fee is $500.  To fill out an application, please visit greendogfoundation.org or call Kim at (714) 319-0802 for more information about Marley and/or our adoption process.  Thank you for looking to rescue!May 2, 2024, 6:44 pm

Lorenzo is a sweet and affectionate little Terrier mix. He is a bit shy around new people and dogs but warms up fast. He would like an active family for playtime and walks; it would be great if there is another playful dog in the family. He is just learning to walk on a leash and is catching up fast. Tony would like to cuddle up on the couch and sleep in bed with you at night. Since Lorenzo is so small we don't recommend him for families with toddlers or small children. He would like a secured, fenced backyard to do his business. Lorenzo is about one year old and weighs 11 lbs. He is dewormed, neutered and up to date on all shots. Our vet assumes that Lorenzo is a Podengo/Norfolk Terrier mix. Lorenzo will need ongoing puppy training (leash, potty, manners) so please only apply if you are ready to put in the work and have the time and patience for a puppy We request an application, in person meet and greet, and a home check. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis; it is always the best match for the dog. We do not ship out of state; we do not transport. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.When we met Jager, he was a hefty 25 pounds -- ridiculously overweight. It took awhile for him to slim down, but he's now a svelte 12 pounds. He's happier, much healthier, and way more active than he was originally. We got Jager when one of the vets with whom we work contacted us and said his owners had brought him to the vet clinic and asked that he be euthanized. They contended he was nippy and said they no longer wanted him.  Maybe the reason for that was that, in addition to being in pain from carrying double the weight he should have been, he had Cushing's disease, which causes the adrenal glands to produce too much of a certain hormone, usually cortisol. This can cause a dog to be hyperalert and uncomfortable, certainly something that could cause nippiness. Jager has been on medication for Cushing's for a while now, and he's a different dog. He loves to hang out with people and other dogs, and there's not a mean bone in his body. Bear in an adorable and energetic 1yo puppy. I adopted him from the original owner but my scheduled has changed and I can’t give him the time he needs and deserves. Cheddar and her 7 siblings were born to Momma Pumpkin on October 14th, 2022. Momma Pumpkin is a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. We are not sure who the Dad/Dad's were. They are sweet, social, active, healthy and loving puppies that are looking for their forever families. They enjoy playing with toys, playing with their siblings and they are used to the other dogs. If you are looking for a sweet puppy for your family they are ready for their forever home. Because of their small size no large breed dogs or small children please. As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $600 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed).
