IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS DOG: Tazz is not a people-dog and still very much prefers the company of dogs. He still makes it very difficult to even approach, let alone touch him. Our director is working with him to show him that humans are not all bad and are actually a source of good things (like food!). Tazz needs an adopter who will understand his boundaries and need to go slow. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Tazz is not your guy (yet). If you are looking for a very rewarding experience in helping him become comfortable with humans, please apply! Tazz was rescued from an overcrowded shelter by our director when she visited our partner in New Mexico. He is very shy and appears to not understand what it is like to really be loved. Tazz is looking for a very patient person who can slowly show him what it is like to be loved and give him the unconditional love he deserves for the rest of his life. ADOPTION FEE: $75 We are a foster-based rescue and do not generally have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Interested in this pup? These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Meet Elton! This sweet boy is ready to find his forever home! From his foster: " Elton is the sweetest boy. He loves to play with his foster brother and is so friendly to anyone when you take him on a walk. He has excellent recall, he comes to you when you call him. We are working on commands like "sit we're getting there! Potty training is going very well too. We are still getting used to the crate, he will bark and cry but does settle down quickly. He loves his food, toys, and loves to sun bathe. He will follow you around like your little shadow, and loves to snuggle with his foster brother or with you. He's as sweet as can be! ADOPTION FEE: $550 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Meet Gooseberry! This sweet little gal is ready to find her forever home! From her foster: " Gooseberry is the perfect lap dog and companion. She loves to be carried/held and would be perfect for someone who spends a lot of time at home. She can be left by herself if needed, but would prefer to be with you! She's had several outings into the community, both in stores and in nature, and has done wonderfully every time. Although she's barely 10 lbs, she will make your home feel protected with her own built in alarm system! Once she feels safe and loved, she will be your best friend forever! She will seek you out and make you feel so loved with lots of kisses and snuggles. She loves to lay in the sun or on the top corner of a couch. She may even show you her circus tricks. She's food motivated and a smart girl, so teaching her commands should be a breeze! She has been an amazing companion in our home and is ready to find her forever family!
