I was given up to a county shelter with my friend Alfie. I'm a great little fellow and who knows why I was discarded. No matter, I'm ready for a new life and a new home. My mouth was a mess, I lost 17 teeth during my dental but I'm all healed up and ready to find a home. I am a very active fellow, but I love to curl up next to my person and be quiet and calm too.

Although Ross may initially appear quite reserved, his super sweet nature shines through once he warms up.  Behavior with Cats, Other Dogs, and Children Ross's interactions with other animals and children are currently unknown. Given his shyness and slightly skittish personality, gentle, controlled introductions to new animals and people will be necessary.  Personality Ross is a sweet dog, though quite shy and potentially skittish. He will need some time to warm up, but once comfortable, his loving personality will undoubtedly shine through. A calm and patient environment will best suit his temperament.  Skills/Training The status of Ross's potty and crate training is currently unknown, indicating that potential adopters will need patience and consistency in teaching him these routines. Story
When I came into the county shelter as a stray I was paralyzed with fear. Of course, I'm a 7.5lb Chihuahua and everyone was a giant. I protected myself in the only way I knew by acting mean and I was whisked off the adoption floor into solitary. My foster mom saw me before I was isolated so after my stray hold she came and rescued me. I can be a little frightened when I'm handled roughly by someone new so please be kind to me. I'm working on my potty training. I'm pretty smart so with a little help I know I'll get there. I get along with other dogs, mostly small please. I'm a little cuddle bug so how mean can I be? If you like the Chihuahua breed you'll just L.O.V.E me!
