Story
We have had Coco for approximately five years. She was found outside our apartment in Kingsville, Texas. After attempting to locate her owner, we ultimately decided to adopt her into our family. One day, upon returning from work, Coco approached our car door to greet us. She is an exceptionally friendly dog. After receiving some affection, she followed us to the front door of our apartment. Coco is now six years old. In her new home, I hope she receives the love and attention she deserves from her family, including plenty of belly rubs, head scratches, and cuddles. She is a loyal and easy-going dog, making her an excellent companion for a family. She is potty trained and has lived in both apartments and houses. She can be left alone with minimal concern; the only behavior she may exhibit when alone is seeking out food left within her reach by children. Despite being middle-aged, she is still capable of participating in 5K runs and playing catch outdoors.

Story
Gabriel is very loving and cuddly, considering himself a lap dog despite his size. He has a lot of strength and vigor and really lights up on an extended hike. He likes to hold/chew a toy but prefers to point/guard it if it is thrown rather than fetch. He is very considerate of small animals and children, sometimes crawling on his belly when meeting them to appear non-threatening. (He responds to "Gentle, gentle" as a command) Gabriel joined our family from a neglectful home at about 1.5 years old. He has a great deal of separation anxiety and will whine, lick or chew himself or surroundings when he is nervous. Unfortunately, he has a strained relationship with our older female dog- He may try to steal her food or overgroom her in a domineering way. The last time they were left alone together in a hotel room, he licked and chewed the back of her neck until it was soaked and raw. Clearly we can no longer allow them to be alone together. Gabriel thrives as the center of attention!
