This very friendly boy ended up at the shelter as a stray. He is used by the shelter to test other dogs for compatibility — and he does wonderfully every time! He has participated in playgroups with both males and females throughout his stay and continues to do great. We are not exactly sure of his age, but he is not an older dog. He is vaccinated and neutered, and ready for a loving home. He is currently located at the Okeechobee shelter and is at risk due to having been there for quite some time. Here is what the shelter says about him: “Nice boy!!! Has been here for a while and very friendly and great with dogs!!! Has been in playgroup with males and females throughout his time here and is still great.” If you are interested in adopting him, please email us and we will direct you to the appropriate contact at the shelter. My Adoption Fee Is Fully Sponsored by an anonymous donor! Hi there! My name is Jolene. I'm a nice southern girl who was pregnant when rescued by Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. Thankfully I was taken in just in time as I needed a C-section to deliver my babies - I never would have survived on my own! I was a very good Mama and raised my puppies well - they all have nice homes now! I would do best as the queen fur baby of the house without other pets. I've been waiting very patiently for my forever home as I've been going through heartworm treatment, but I now tested negative and am so ready for my forever family to find me! I'm really a sweet girl... the rescue people think I'm a cattle dog/pointer mix (whatever that is). I'm about 4 years old and weigh about 55 pounds (I'm currently a little on the chunky side). My adoption fee is now fully sponsored by a generous donor and includes my vet check, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test (negative!), microchip, and spay.
