Story
Wilder is one of the most lovable boys; he has been at the shelter since he was a pup of 3 months old. He doesn’t get much interest and we have no clue why. He's beautiful and so sweet. Wilder would excel with an active family or family who hikes. Wilder would do best with older children. He is good with dogs and cats! Don’t forget to check out this sweet boy on our website at HSNWGA.orgTo adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Story
Pretty Girl is a young, gorgeous pup 1-2 years old. She is tall and lean at 55lbs maybe a Pointer/Pyrenees  mix.  In her foster home she will lock in on the chickens and then run through and scatter them. She also tries to herd the goats. She seems naturally geared towards hunting and herding. Chasing the barn animals is frowned upon, so fortunately, she is easlily redirected and happily settles for running and playing with her dog friends and chasing balls and toys.  She gets along great with the dogs and is attentive to people. It's obvious she is very intelligent and wants to please.  She walks well on a leash and has quickly mastered crate training.  She is kid friendly.   She has not been tested with cats. adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms ( dogs 7 months old and older) .To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##2636662##

Story
A SWEET PEOPLE DOG: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Sylvie!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and boy am I glad they were able to bring me into the Mostly Mutts family!  I definitely needed their loving care, as I am heartworm positive.  I'll be treated for that soon and hope to be with my new family before my treatment starts.  It’s also evident that I have had puppies in the past, but those days are now behind me too, thanks to Mostly Mutts.  I’m ready to start the good life with my new family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and we got along – though I did not initiate play with them.  I seem to prefer the company of people more, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers say I am ‘a very good girl’, and I bet you will agree!  I’m friendly and super sweet, and I really, really love people. I might seem a little shy at first, but once I know you’re kind, I just want to be close and snuggle. I’m calm and gentle, but I’m also a strong girl. I sit very nicely for treats - I try so hard to do everything right. The shelter bath was scary for me, especially the sprayer, but I did my best. The shampoo and scrub seemed a lot like cuddling, so that was fine. The rinsing part with the spray was harder, and I felt really brave to get through it. Afterward, I gave kisses because I love people. Though I’m nervous sometimes, I’m also full of love and ready to make you smile! / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command.  I look forward to learning more! Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.         • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m not super interested in toys yet, but I sure do love people, so I bet you can show me how much fun toys can be.  Treats are great, and I do a wonderful ‘sit’ for those.  A fun-loving and social girl, I’m sure we will find lots of fun things to do as we make great memories together as a family! / I may need extra time to adjust to new situations, and – other than those pesky baths, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. •  MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  Since I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in April and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts! I am looking for a loving home with a great furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 27, 2026, 12:29 pm

Story
This beautiful English Pointer is a 1-year-old hike-loving, adventure-seeking tornado of fun! She’s athletic, spirited, and always up for anything. If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up with an active lifestyle, Freckles might be your perfect match. Freckles adores running, exploring, and entertaining herself with toys—she’s happiest when she has space to move and something to do. While she’s affectionate and enjoys people, her young age means playtime and discovery are top priorities right now. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and would thrive with adults or school-aged kids who can appreciate (and manage!) her enthusiasm. Freckles can enjoy canine companionship, but she’s a bit dog-selective and sometimes comes on strong when she wants to play. With the right dog and proper introductions, she can have a blast—but she’d also be perfectly content being your one-and-only adventure buddy. This energetic, joyful pup is looking for a home that will embrace her lively personality, provide plenty of exercise, and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Ready to keep up with Freckles? She’s ready to run straight into your heart.

Story
Meet Allegra - a gorgeous and affectionate Pointer/Dalmatian mix who is 5 years old and weights 70 lb . With her happy spirit and beautiful markings, Allegra is as stunning on the outside as she is loving on the inside. She&#39s a playful, energetic girl who absolutely adores being outdoors, chasing after her toys, and especially playing fetch - it&#39s one of her favorite games! Allegra is also very smart and eager to please. She has had professional training, walks well on a leash, and loves having a job to do. She would thrive with an active person or family who enjoys running, hiking, or other outdoor adventures. A fenced yard would be the perfect place for her to stretch her legs and play to her heart&#39s content. This sweet girl is people-friendly and enjoys being around children, though her playful energy means she&#39d do best with older kids who won&#39t get easily knocked over by her enthusiasm. Allegra is also dog-friendly and gets along well with the pups in her foster home, but she would be just as happy soaking up all the love as an only dog. At home, Allegra is the total package - she is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is loving, attentive, and always ready to shower her people with affection. What Allegra wants most is a forever family who will appreciate her joyful energy, include her in their adventures, and give her the love she so deserves. If you&#39re looking for a smart, fun, and devoted companion who will be by your side for every adventure (and every snuggle afterward), Allegra might just be the perfect girl for you!
