Meet Johnny - Your New Best Friend! Johnny is a 5-month-old bundle of joy who was rescued from the Bartow County shelter at the very last moment -- and wow, are we glad we&#39ve saved him! He is possibly a terrier pointer mix. This sweet pup is about 27 lbs of pure happiness, love, and puppy energy. Johnny is everything you&#39d want in a young companion: playful, social, affectionate, and always up for fun. He loves other dogs and is fantastic with people and children alike. Whether he&#39s exploring in the yard, playing chase with a furry sibling, or snuggling up after a day of adventures, Johnny is always living life with his whole heart. This bright boy would thrive in an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors, going on walks or hikes, or just tossing a ball in the backyard. He&#39d love a home with a fenced yard, and he&#39d be over the moon to have another dog or some kids to play with. Johnny is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and will be microchipped -- he&#39s ready to start his new life with his forever family. If you&#39re looking for a loving, happy pup to grow with your family, Johnny is your guy. Come meet him and fall in love! Apply today to give Johnny the life he deserves. If you&#39re interested in adopting this deserving boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born Sept 2020. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner. She has had professional training, has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better. She is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but an only dog home would be OK for her. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped.January 3, 2025, 6:28 pm

Story
Dougie found us as a small puppy in rural NC and we took him in. He is 16 months old and we think he just about full grown now at about 69 pounds. He is a sweet boy who loves to run and play. He has never met another dog or person he does not like and want to be friends with. He is up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, crate-trained and has had some basic training instruction. We have two other, older dogs and a third is a little too much for us. We are patiently waiting to find the right home for Dougie where he will be loved and cared for. His energy level might be a little much for toddlers at this point in his development, but would be great with older (school-age) kids.

Story
Darla is a nearly 1 year old female Pointer mix who brings together sweetness and a joyful spirit in one adorable package. Though she was quite shy when she first arrived at the shelter, everything changed after a long weekend in a loving foster home, which was all Darla needed to truly blossom. During her stay, she quickly showed her fosters what a wonderful houseguest she could be - quiet, easygoing, and eager to please. Darla got along beautifully with the resident dog, was good with the cats, and was even seen laying next to her new canine friend with their paws sweetly overlapping. So precious! Darla also impressed her fosters with her initial crate training (quiet through the night) and potty training, showing she is eager to learn and be part of a home. Most of all, Darla has won the hearts of shelter staff and volunteers with her sweet manners and affectionate nature. Within a couple minutes outside of her shelter cage, she settles quickly and walks like a dream on a leash, making outings with her peaceful and pleasant.  So if you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring you endless love and happiness, then Darla is your perfect match. Come meet her today, and see just how special she is. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Hi there! I'm Sweetie, and just like my name, I'm as sweet as can be. I've got a playful spirit that's as contagious as my goofy sense of humor. I'm pretty smart too, I've learned so many tricks here and I'm eager to learn more. I've got energy to spare, and I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a good run. But don't let my playful side fool you, I'm also incredibly loyal. I'll stick by your side through thick and thin. I'm looking for an adopter who will appreciate my funny antics, my playful energy, and my loyal heart. If you're looking for a friend who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you unconditionally, I'm your girl. Adopt me and let's start our adventure together!
