Story
This is Boss -he is a pure bred English Pointer Puppy DOB Oct 2023.  Boss was brought to us as a 6 week old puppy by a plantation that had bred his parents.  They noticed he as having trouble urinating and brought him into our vet for a check up. Our vet determined he had an birth defect with his urethra -it was causing grit to accumulate and hinder his ability to use his penis to relieve himself.  The plantation did not want to spend the funds to correct this so he was surrendered to us.  Our vet operated on Boss and gave him a way to relieve himself more like a female dog.  We have been playing the "wait and see game" as he has aged to tell if additonal treatment would be necessary.  We are happy to report that his urethra is now working and he is able to relieve himself normally now.  This maybe something that needs to be monitored for the rest of his life -we simply do not know.  However, we can tell you what an awesome, smart, outoging and loving puppy Boss is.  He is great with other dogs and he loves people of all ages, including kids.  He is a GREAT puppy and will make an awesome pet for some lucky home.  He is up to date with everything and knows some basic commands and is crate trained.  For adoption, please submit an application at www.myhstc.org.
