Story
Dottie is a lively, almost 4-year-old English Pointer who’s finally getting the fresh start she deserves. She was originally trained for hunting, but when she turned out to be sensitive to gunfire, she was set aside. Much of her early life was spent in a kennel with little room to roam, but those days are now behind her. Since entering foster care, Dottie has been discovering the pleasures of home life. Like a typical Pointer, she thrives on running, sniffing, and exploring. She does best with about an hour of exercise each day, ideally split into shorter sessions. Whether she’s chasing a ball or playing with her toys, she knows how to keep herself entertained. Dottie is friendly and social—she gets along well with other dogs, is good with kids, and hasn’t shown much interest in cats. However, her strong prey drive means she’ll need supervision outdoors so she doesn’t wander off following an interesting scent. She already knows “come” and enjoys games like fetch, making her a great fit for an active household. She’s still adjusting to life indoors in her foster home, as this is her first time in a true home setting. She’s learning what belongs to her and that countertops aren’t for exploring. House training is coming along nicely, with only occasional accidents as she settles in. She’s also very comfortable in a crate and will even tuck herself in when she’s ready to rest. While the transition initially caused some weight loss, she’s now eating three meals a day and steadily gaining it back. Dottie would do best in an active, outdoorsy home—especially one familiar with hunting or pointing breeds. With consistency, patience, and plenty of chances to run and play, she’s sure to become a wonderful companion.

Story
Rose is a vibrant, high-energy dog who came to us as a stray and is now ready to find her forever family! She absolutely loves to run and play outside, especially when it comes to a fun game of fetch. If you're looking for an active, adventure-loving companion, Rose is your girl! While she might take a little time to warm up to new people, once she does, Rose is all about affection and will shower you with love. She came in with another dog, but a meet-and-greet will be required to ensure a good fit with any other dogs in the home. Rose’s adoption fee covers her vaccines, microchip, and spay. If you’re ready to bring this sweet, energetic girl into your home and offer her the love and adventures she craves, Rose might just be the perfect fit!

Story
Opal is a loving girl who came to us as a stray, and although she may be a bit wary of new people at first, it doesn't take long for her to warm up and show you just how affectionate she can be. Once she bonds, Opal becomes a total love bug who just wants to be close to her humans! Opal loves running around outside and having fun in the yard, but she’s developed quite the escape artist skills, so she’ll need a secure, fenced yard to keep her safe and entertained. A large yard where she can stretch her legs would be ideal for this active girl. Although Opal came to us with another dog, she’s fairly independent and would need a meet and greet to ensure she’s a good fit with other dogs in the home. She enjoys the company of others but also loves her alone time. Opal’s adoption fee covers her vaccines, microchip, and spay, so she’s all set to start her new life with you! If you’re looking for a sweet, independent dog who enjoys a good run and is ready to be your loyal companion, Opal might be the one for you. Come meet her today – she’s ready to find her forever home!
