Story
Hilary is an approximately 4-5 year old, 40 pound, Lab/Pointer Mix found emaciated on the streets of Puerto Rico. For over 3 long years she has been waiting to be adopted. Many rescues have said they will bring her to the US only to back out or have it fall through. Hilary’s foster Mom in Puerto Rico says she holds no grudge about this and all love, play, curiosity and energy.Hilary loves everything and everyone. Great with other dogs, doesn’t react to cats, kids, you name it. When Hilary was found she was so skinny her body was rejecting food and she had to be spoon fed multiple times a day until her body would accept food. Happy and friendly Hilary deserves to finally have a forever place to land, it has been far too long. Hilary’s foster Mom in Maine says she loves to run, spin and jump around so she would love an active home to show off her zoomies. Hilary is fostered in Windsor. Story
Rachel is a 6-month-old English Pointer/Russell Terrier mix who traveled to Maine with her sister, Sage after being found as strays. She’ll be settling into her foster home in Readfield, Maine, as she begins her search for her forever family. She was in foster in the south and is crate trained. She is eligible to go home November 25, 2025. If you’re interested in meeting Rachel, please complete an adoption application. Everybody meet Zadie!! Zadie is an absolute doll!! She is gentle and sweet and is a staff favorite. Zadie keeps her kennel clean, and we think she would be pretty easy to house break. We think she is some sort of hound pointer mix, about 2 years old weighing in at about 45 pounds. Zadie is a gentle girl who loves to give hugs. She would love a home with room to run and/or an active family. She is willing to snuggle just as much as she'd love a good hike or long walk.
