Story
Location: Sleepy Eye, MN Tito is a beautiful, mixed breed young female dog with a sleek, smooth, and soft coat who often appears to be smiling. She is usually happy and enjoys playing with other dogs and getting attention from her people - she is a bit cautious around new people or fast-moving children. As with many dogs, she does a "happy dance" when her people come home, pick up a leash or she is let out of her crate. She is excited to go for walks and is becoming more confident. She would make a great companion for someone who wants to get out and walk. She has enough energy for a couple of walks a day. She enjoys sniffing and exploring during the walk. Tito has almost mastered house training. She almost always takes care of business outside but does have an occasional accident indoors—usually when humans miss her cues or she is having too much fun to ask to go outside. Although she sleeps in her crate, she probably would be very happy to have a home with someone who wanted to share a bed with her. She also enjoys morning belly rubs. At this point in her life, she likes nipping the other dogs' ears and hind legs so she might do better in a home with a confident dog about her size or larger or possibly would do quite well as an only dog. She does jump up when excited so would probably do better in a home with children at least 10 or older. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Lynd, MN Hi! My name is Gunner. I recently came into rescue from ND. I’m a really happy boy! I basically love everything other than maybe when my foster mom is gonna leave & she puts me in the kennel. I do okay in there though. I don’t have any accidents. I love people so much! I like to shadow my foster mom & follow her everywhere to make sure she is okay! I have a young foster brother here too & we love to play! I also love the resident dogs. I’m very interested in the cats here too, but I’m getting used to them & learning I need to leave them alone or they punch me! There are a lot of kids here too & I really love them. I’m still young, but I’m learning quickly to not jump & be respectful of the tiny humans! I have a giant yard here & I love to play out ther e & run! They have a whole basket of toys here & I dig through to find my favorites! Sometimes I grab something I shouldn’t around the house, but if you give me a toy or bone I am happy to take that instead! I sleep on the floor in my foster parents room & I really enjoy that. I have had very minimal accidents since I came to live here too & they are very proud of me. I don’t mind others around my food whether they are humans or other dogs. I’m told I’m such a beautiful boy with my silky coat & pointy ears. My foster mom really likes pointy ears! I really think I like this life that involves warm beds & snuggles! Do you think you could be my new family? --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: St Cloud, MN Meet a dog who embodies everything people love about a presumed Husky mix—adventurous, intelligent, full of personality, and always ready for the next adventure. This energetic pup approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, whether it’s exploring a new trail, playing with favorite toys, or simply finding a fun way to entertain himself. His sharp mind makes him a quick learner, though that independent Husky streak means he sometimes likes to decide for himself when and how things should be done. Friendly and social, this dog enjoys being around people and thrives on companionship. He can be vocal and expressive, never shy about sharing his thoughts, feelings, or excitement with his family. As a hardworking and active companion, he’ll do best with a home that can provide plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep his busy mind engaged. Like many Husky mixes, he can be a little mischievous when boredom strikes and he doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. He would prefer being part of the action and spending time with his people. Toys are his favorite pastime, and he loves having outlets for his energy and playful nature. This pup also prefers not to be kenneled and would thrive with a family committed to helping him succeed through structure, activity, and companionship. Because of his instinctual prey drive and preferences, he is looking for a cat-free home. For the right family, Joss will be a loyal adventure partner, a source of daily laughter, and a constant reminder that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: New Prague, MN 🐊 Meet Gator! 🐾 Don't let the name fool you—this Gator is all wiggles and kisses, with absolutely zero bite. In fact, if there were an Olympic sport for "wanting to be wherever the people are," Gator would take home the gold medal. Gator is a sweet, submissive boy who absolutely adores attention. He loves other dogs, does great with kids, and even handled a cat hissing at him like a true gentleman. His response? "Okay, ma'am... I'll just be over here if you need me." 😅 He's a playful pup who enjoys toys, zoomies, and making new friends. He's currently working on keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people because sometimes his excitement gets the best of him—can you blame him? He's just really happy to see you! This smart boy is also doing amazingly well with potty training and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate like the good boy he is. The only catch? Gator has decided that walking into the crate himself is a little overrated. He prefers a gentle nudge or being helped in at bedtime—think of it as his version of wanting to be tucked in for the night. Once he's settled, though, he snoozes peacefully until morning. Gator is eager to please, loves being part of the action, and would happily volunteer as your full-time shadow. If you're looking for a best friend who's equal parts goofy, affectionate, and devoted, Gator is ready to waddle right into your heart and never leave. Apply to meet Gator today—he's saving all his tail wags, puppy snuggles, and happy wiggles just for you! ❤️🐾 --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Lynd, MN I’m a puppy in the true definition of a puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and personality! I'm currently working on potty training and learning how to walk on a leash outside in the yard. Sometimes I play a little harder than I should, so I tend to do best with older kids who can keep up with my playful side, though with time and training I may learn to be gentler with younger children too. I live with another dog who’s a bit older, and sometimes he ignores me, so I’ll relax on the couch or entertain myself with my puppy toys. I’m not the biggest fan of the kennel yet, but I do use it for meals and the occasional nap. One of my favorite things is sitting on the couch watching TV—although I do like to bark at my own shadow sometimes! Oh and I have a heart on my ear - it is my foster's favorite thing about me! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Monticello, MN When Harold first came to my home, he was incredibly quiet and clearly scared of the world around him. In fact, I had to carry him up the three steps to get inside because it didn't even seem like he knew what stairs were. The saddest part was watching him try to adjust to a home environment. While my dogs were curled up on the couches enjoying warm, comfortable naps, Harold just paced and paced, constantly wanting to go back outside. He had likely spent so much time in a loud, busy shelter that the peace and quiet of a home felt unfamiliar. Everything around him was new—the soft couches, the calm atmosphere, the simple comfort of feeling safe. The next day, something changed. It was just Harold and me inside while the other dogs were outside playing. I was sitting on the couch doing my own thing and letting him explore at his own pace. After a while, he quietly jumped up onto the couch, looked out the window for a few moments, and then settled down right next to me. Before long, he was fast asleep. For the first time, it seemed like he finally realized he could let his guard down. He had found a safe, quiet place to rest his head, and he slept there for hours. Since then, Harold's personality has slowly started to shine through. While he may be a bigger dog, he is truly the gentlest soul. He loves playing with his foster siblings, soaking up affection, and sitting beside you on the couch just to be close. He sleeps wonderfully in his kennel, is almost fully potty trained, and has the sweetest, calmest demeanor. Harold doesn't ask for much—just a little patience, kindness, and a place to belong. Beneath his gentle eyes is a dog who has learned to trust again, and watching him discover what it means to be loved has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Harold is proof that sometimes the softest hearts come in the biggest packages. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
