Hello there… I’m Jasper.I’ve been keeping a pretty low profile since I arrived at the shelter on November 16, 2025. When I first got here, I wasn’t in the best shape. I was very thin, my fur was patchy and dirty, and I was feeling pretty unsure about the world around me. I kept to myself and tried not to be noticed.But time — and a lot of care — can do amazing things.Over the past few months, I’ve gained weight, my coat is growing back in nicely, and I’ve adjusted to shelter life. It’s not so bad here. The people are kind, I get regular meals, and I have a safe place to rest my head.Still… lately, I’ve noticed something.One by one, my friends are leaving with new families. I watch them walk out the door, tails wagging, starting their new lives. And while I’m so happy for them, I’ve started to feel a little tug in my heart.I think it’s my turn to step forward.I may be a little quiet at first, but underneath that reserved exterior is a loyal, gentle soul who just wants a place to belong. I’m ready to rise to the surface, to show you who I really am. I don’t want to just be a face in a kennel anymore — I want to be someone’s companion, someone’s comfort, someone’s family.The shelter has helped me heal. Now I’m ready for a home where I can truly thrive.Could that home be yours? ??
