This thoroughly likable English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer mix has been a longtime resident at the Mesquite Animal Shelter since 7/31/25. Hard to believe because she is such an attractive and friendly girl. Darby weighs 65 pounds, is about 4 years old and is spayed. She is playful, enjoys fetching and playing with balls, and had a grand time bouncing and prancing around the yard during her photo session. She is a curious girl and enjoyed checking out all the sights and smells in the yard as well as peering out the gate into the parking lot. Darby appears to be house trained. She knows the sit command and will do so continually for treats. She has a pleasant outgoing personality and is very lively! She does have a strong pull on the leash and would benefit from having additional leash training. She is affectionate, wants to be in your lap and gives kisses!

Glinda is very sweet and gentle, though still a little hesitant with humans (we assume she was an outside dog in her past life). She has come a long way already - even walks on a leash nicely - and we are absolutely certain that with just a little bit of patience, this sweet girl will be the one you wonder how you ever lived without. Our Furry Friendz are available for adoption through a screening process which includes but is not limited to: a completed application, 3 referrals, a home visit, and a vet referral prior to their furever home placement.
