Story
Layka is a delightful young female mixed breed  born August 27, 2021, weighing 50 pounds.  Layka a zest for life and an infectious enthusiasm that will brighten any home. Born with a naturally happy and outgoing personality, Layka thrives on adventure and loves the thrill of exploring new places. Her playful spirit and love for cuddles make her an ideal companion for families who enjoy an active lifestyle and plenty of affection. Layka is best suited for a household where she can be the only dog, allowing her to soak up all the love and attention she deserves. While she is naturally joyful and affectionate, Layka will benefit from socialization and training to help her adjust to her new environment and become the best version of herself. Our In-Home Experience with the Lovely Layka Layka is a delightful and silly girl who will undoubtedly capture your heart, one laugh at a time. From the moment she arrived at our home, her curiosity was evident—she sniffed every inch of the place and quickly decided that the couch was her favorite spot. A Day in the Life of Layka Layka's daily routine is a charming mix of relaxation and playful energy. About 75% of her day is spent as a content couch potato, while the remaining 25% is dedicated to her puppy zoomies, where she eagerly wants to play. Her play mode often involves heading to the backyard for a game of "fetch" with her Kong ball. Fetch deserves quotation marks because, more often than not, Layka ends up throwing the ball in the air herself and chasing it around like an exuberant baby kangaroo. She sprints full speed from one end of the yard to the other, taking frequent pit stops at the kitchen water dish for huge, refreshing slurps. It's essential to have a nice big bowl because Layka loves her water! After about 10-15 minutes of this energetic play, she sprints back inside, bringing her ball to the couch as a signal that she's all tuckered out. A Perfect Work-From-Home Companion I work from home, and Layka has proven to be a wonderful coworker. She spends her time in the living room, keeping an eye on passersby from the window. Every half hour or so, she trots into my office for a brief session of belly rubs and kisses before returning to her relaxing routine. Having Layka around has made my workdays much more enjoyable. Settling In and House Training Layka is house-trained, although she did have a couple of accidents during her first week with us, which we attributed to being in a new environment. She quickly learned to stand by the back door and gaze at us when she wanted to be let outside. Occasionally, she just wanted to enjoy the sunshine. When ready to come back in, she would sit politely at the door and give a short little bark to let us know. Overall, Layka has brought endless joy and laughter into our home. Her playful antics and loving demeanor have made her a beloved member of our household. By welcoming Layka into your home, you're inviting a happy and playful companion into your life. Her adventurous spirit and affectionate nature are sure to fill your days with joy and warmth. If you're ready for a lively and loving furry friend, Layka might just be the perfect match for your family! If interested please go to our website and fill out an application. Story
Meet Minnie — the ultimate mix of sweetness and strength. This beautiful girl was rescued from a junkyard where she was surviving alongside her brother, and even after everything she’s been through, her heart remains full of love. Her brother has found his forever home, and now it’s Minnie’s turn. She’s incredibly affectionate with her humans and loves to be close — she’ll press against you just to feel safe and connected. Minnie has great manners and doesn’t jump except for a quick happy greeting when she first comes out. She’s gentle when taking treats, walks well on leash, and is just the right size to scoop up for a hug (which she loves!). Minnie plays well with male dogs and could likely get along with others, especially if her person helps her feel secure. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves to play — especially when she can be part of the fun with her family. She’d be an amazing match for someone looking for a playful yet calm, devoted companion who bonds deeply and gives her whole heart in return.

Story
Hi there! We’re two male coonhounds, Brown Dog and White Dog—we’ll let you guess who’s who :) We were dumped as puppies in 2020 but have been lovingly cared for by an elderly couple in East Texas. Sadly, they can no longer care for us, so we’re looking for a new forever home—together, if possible. We’re friendly, smart, and great with people and other dogs. We’ve lived outdoors with an electric fence and are used to being brought in at night. We do have strong hunting instincts, so a home without small animals is best. Brown Dog (the smaller boss) takes a daily glucosamine supplement after recovering from Rocky Mountain spotted fever as a pup. White Dog is a bit more reserved but loves ear scratches. We’ve never met a stranger and can’t wait to meet you!
