Story
Kira is one year old girl who is potty trained, crate trained and wonderful with people. She is still young, playful, and full of energy, but already showing what a smart, trainable girl she is. Kira is working on obedience, and picks up on training quickly, which makes her a wonderful fit for someone who wants to keep building on that foundation. We are rehoming her because she is not comfortable living with our cat, who is an important comfort animal for our child with anxiety.Kira is just playful, never actually attacked the cat, but it creates commotion. Kira is also shy and a little uncomfortable around other dogs, so she would do best in a calm home where she can receive attention and continued positive training. What I'm hoping for is a compassionate family who has the time for Kira. She will give back so much love and cuddles. If you're looking for a loyal, playful companion who's eager to learn and easy to bond with, Kira could be exactly who you've been looking for.

Story
**Meet Boris — Adventure Buddy by Day, Cuddle Buddy by Night! 🐾❤️** If you're looking for a dog who loves adventure just as much as he loves relaxing, then Boris might just be your perfect match! Boris is an incredible boy with a zest for life and a love for the outdoors. One of his absolute favorite things is swimming, and if there's water nearby, you can bet Boris will be the first one ready to dive in! Whether it's hiking a scenic trail, exploring new places, or joining your family on vacations, Boris is always up for the next adventure. Boris is also **good with cats! 🐱💕** Because he is a high-energy boy who gets excited about life, he would do best with **slow, calm introductions to any feline friends** in his future home. Giving everyone time to meet and get comfortable at their own pace will help set them up for success. But after a day of fun? He's more than happy to trade the hiking boots for the couch and spend the evening relaxing by your side. Boris truly is the best of both worlds—an adventurous spirit with a calm, loving heart. Now all he needs is a forever family to share life's adventures with. Could that be you? 🥰 Boris is ready to pack his bags and head home with his new family! If you're not quite ready to adopt, fostering would also help this amazing boy on his journey. Please like, share, and tag your friends to help Boris find the forever home he's been dreaming of! 🐾🏡❤️

Story
Boris is the happiest, friendliest, most loving boy! He loves to play chase with his friends, sit for treats, and swim laps in the pool. Boris was found in a notorious dumping ground in Texas, where he was being attacked by other dogs and living in a culvert. He was too gentle to fight back, and we knew he wouldn't survive out there. He had wounds to his neck, legs, and eyes. He was a pitiful sight, and we had to make room for him at the rescue. Boris made a speedy recovery and is now ready for his forever home. He is so affectionate and grateful for his second chance! LOCATION: HOUSTON, TX. ADOPTION FEE: 550.00 Includes vetting and transportation .

Story
Meet Harley B Breed: English Pointer Mix Sex: Female DOB: 1/13/2021 Weight: 40 Pounds Health: Healthy and spayed Harley B is a beautiful medium-sized girl with a gentle soul, a playful spirit, and a heart ready to give her whole love to the right family. At five years old, she has the wonderful balance of maturity and energy — she’s past the puppy chaos but still full of life, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the world around her. Harley may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her affectionate and loyal personality shines through in the most wonderful way. Personality, Breed Info & Expectations As an English Pointer / Terrier Mix, Harley will be an intelligent, affectionate, and energetic companion with a wonderful balance of athleticism and loyalty. This breed mix often combines the English Pointer's friendly, eager-to-please nature with the Terrier's confidence, curiosity, and spirited personality. They are social dogs that enjoy being part of the family and thrive when included in everyday activities. These dogs are naturally active and benefit from regular exercise, outdoor adventures, and opportunities to explore. They are quick learners who respond well to positive reinforcement training and enjoy activities that challenge both their mind and body. Whether it's hiking, playing fetch, or simply spending time with their favorite people, they are happiest when they have a job to do and plenty of companionship. An English Pointer / Terrier Mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and outdoor adventures Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, an English Pointer / Terrier Mix grows into a loyal, well-mannered, and devoted companion who enjoys both active adventures and quiet time with the people they love. Breed & Lifestyle Traits Harley is an active, intelligent dog who thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Dogs like Harley enjoy structure and routine, and they tend to form strong bonds with their humans. She does best when she has opportunities to move, explore, and interact with the world around her, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Training & Home Life Harley is already fully potty trained and crate trained, which makes her transition into a new home much smoother. She knows her basic commands and has a great foundation to continue building on with positive reinforcement training. She does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. However, Harley would do best in a home without cats or young children, as she thrives in a calmer, structured environment where she can feel relaxed and secure. ‍♀️ Activity Needs Harley loves movement and activity. Walks, outdoor time, and play sessions are some of her favorite things. A home with a yard would be ideal for her so she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. She would do wonderfully with an adopter who enjoys walks, light adventures, and spending quality time engaging with their dog. ⚠️ Things to Consider Before adopting Harley, it's important to consider your lifestyle and long-term stability. Are pets allowed where you live now and in the future? Do you have the time to provide daily exercise and companionship? Are you prepared for routine veterinary care and long-term financial responsibility? Are you ready for a commitment that lasts for the rest of Harley’s life? Adoption means providing a safe, loving home through every stage of life. Vet Care Although Harley is healthy and already spayed, it is important to establish care with your own veterinarian soon after adoption. This helps maintain her health through regular checkups and preventative care. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule Like most rescue dogs, Harley will need time to adjust to a new home. The first 3 days she may feel unsure or overwhelmed while she decompresses. The first 3 weeks she will begin learning your routine and feeling more secure. By 3 months, her confidence will grow and her loving personality will truly shine. Patience and consistency during this transition will help Harley thrive. Why Harley B Is So Special Harley B is a wonderful dog who simply needs the right environment to shine. With patience, love, and an active lifestyle, she will become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. She is ready to share adventures, daily walks, and quiet moments with someone who will appreciate her sweet nature and gentle heart. For the right person or couple looking for a loving, active companion, Harley B could be the perfect best friend. Story
RTH minimum adoption age is 25 years old. APPLICATION REQUIRED (COPY & PASTE THIS LINK) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RTH/Dog Age: 5 years (approx) Weight: 62 pounds Meet Brillo!! This big puppy is looking for his forever home! His foster folks have only had him for a few short weeks but have already learned so much about him! He's a 1-2 year old scruffy Aquarius who sees the fun in everything. His prior life wasn't full of play time or training, but he's already potty trained and is learning how toys work (which has been hilarious)! Bless his heart as he's got the common sense of a dill pickle, but he's by far one of the friendliest and goofiest dogs his foster folks have ever had. Coming in at a solid 67lbs, his biggest (and only) flaw has been learning his manners, but with treats in hand, he'll do whatever you want. He loves rough play with his foster pup brothers, even sometimes pretending to be a heeler of some sort, trying to herd them. His foster cat sister isn't as welcoming with playtime, but Brillo learned really fast how spicy she is, so he watches her in amazement from afar, hoping she'll one day change her mind and play with him. Brillo is such a joy to be around and would absolutely love an active home to call his own. He knows basic commands and does really well in a crate and takes treats gently from anyone passing them out. A fenced-in yard would be awesome, but not a must as long as he's getting exercised routinely. So if you've been searching for the most scruffiest, happiest, silliest boy dog who will do his best learning all the things, and loves everybody and everything, then look no further... Brillo is your perfect match! Out of State Adoption Fee - $375 Texas In State Adoption Fee - $175 * See all of our adoptable pets at roamstohomes.com
