Sweet Potato is one amazing dog! He was found tied to a tree and had a sore spot on his neck from trying to escape. Despite that, he is so sweet! He knows to sit on command and is a wonderful leash walker. He is very interested in the other dogs, and loves to play in playgroups. He is available for foster or adoption and his adoption fee is paid by a generous donor for the month of May!

We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Odin is an awesome dog and a protector of the family. Besides his occasional run epsidodes, he always comes back. We haven’t had any issue until recently. He is nipping and responding as a peer to our toddlers. Unfortunately we do not have the resources for training and we want what is best for him. He will do well in a home with children over the age of 12. He also is dog friendly and cat friendly but it will take time for him to adapt.
