The Bracco Italiano is reliable, intelligent, docile and easy to train. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, the adoption fee is $150. ##2043511##

She is spayed, up to date on core vaccinations, heart worm negative and microchipped. She is fully grown and weighs 39 pounds. She is very smart at her young age, gets along with other dogs,  (even small ones), and cats. We believe she would be ok with older children as well. She knows to do her business outside, sleeps through the night and is crate trained.  We think this pretty girl would be great for a family with older children and you can watch them grow up together. Potential adopters must follow our adoption process, which includes an adoption application, an interview, reference check, and a home visit. Pre-qualification Applications may be submitted in advance will be kept on file. Some things to consider before completing the Adoption Application. Have a family meeting to discuss how adding a pet will impact your lifestyle, how you may need to change routine, if a dog or cat is better suited and ensure that everyone in the household is ready.
