Story
Meet Otis, a Pointer/Hound mix boy that came from a hoarding case in Middle Tennessee and sweet as any dog you could meet.  The home he was in had over 30 dogs and because of this crowding condition, he was removed from the home with many other dogs.  He is therefore definitely able to exist with other dogs peacefully.  Big and small dogs are what he was living with.  He has come a long way in the care of Thurman's Place, Boarding & Balanced Training and is now up for adoption!  Otis is approximately 4 years old, 45 lbs and is a tripod.  He lost his leg after he was shot for trespassing on the wrong property when he was much younger.  You could never guess this boy has endured such cruelty from people because he loves everyone and is fabulous with kids!  Otis has a very easy going personality and seems to always wear a smile, inviting you to be his new BFF.  He walks great on a leash, is a quick learner and playful!  Otis is also fine with cats! Crate trained and completely vetted and neutered, he is ready to go.  What more could you want in a family friendly dog!?  He would benefit from a fenced yard, but could certainly be happy visiting dog parks or going for nice leisurely walks.  He just wants to belong and be loved by someone.  Could that be you to make his fairy tale ending happen?  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue if you are interested in this special boy. ccrnewengland@gmail.com is where you can ask for an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 27, 2024, 12:38 pm

Story
Meet Sky! This pup was surrendered through no fault of his own and is looking forward to being part of a family again! Sky walks well on leash, he may give an occasional tug if he smells something tasty but is easy to redirect. He knows commands for 'sit' and 'stay' and gently accepts treats. Sky is very playful and enjoys chasing after toys. He is already house and crate-trained, and has also shared a home with cats and small children with no issues. Sky would be a great addition to your family. Come in and meet him today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say "hi" to our very handsome Prince! This 3+ year old pointer/lab mix (possibly German Shorthaired Pointer) came to The Furever Project from a local shelter. He was in very poor condition upon his arrival, but with the help of his loving foster mom, he's now healthy and in tip top shape. Prince is not only handsome, he is laid-back, affectionate, and gentle. He wants nonstop loving. He is good with meeting new people, does well on social outings and he's also good with other dogs (small and large). He prefers dogs whose energy matches his, which is low. He is also good with cats, mostly ignoring them! Prince does have great leash manners making him a pleasure to walk and not a chore. He would be the ideal walking partner and great for anyone looking for help get in those daily steps! He's a perfect passenger on car rides so he would also be a great travel companion. Prince isn't really big into playing with toys — he'd much rather hang out with his humans, getting lots of attention! At 60+ pounds, Prince could be great for someone who wants a hiking buddy — although he'd be just as content (and possibly prefer) being your sidekick on the couch while you binge-watch your favorite TV show! Because of Prince’s health issues when first coming to TFP, he was not able to be neutered until very recently, May 2024. Recently neutered the desire to territory mark is subsiding and he is learning it’s definitely not acceptable. Once his testosterone subsides (about 30-days ((can be less)) we don’t anticipate this to any longer be an issueVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Ollie is a handsome, friendly and playful boy who would love a home - a real home. He came to us from a person who had 17 dogs, and got into trouble for that, and for allowing his dogs to roam around town. Ollie was one of these dogs. We are happy that Ollie now has a chance to find a real home. One where he can live inside, and be treated like the piece of gold that he is. He's ready to learn! Ollie walks pretty well on a leash already and would love to go on hikes and adventures. He'd do well in a home with another dog, and has gotten along with males and females. Ollie is just 3 years old, so has a lot of years ahead of him. He'd do best with an active family, or to have a fenced in yard or place he can run and stretch his legs. He has moderate energy and weighs 50 lbs. He is up to date on all vaccines, dewormings and preventatives, is neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175.
