Story
Mrs. Thumbs is a beautiful 3-year old female Extra-Toes Hemingway Polydactyl/Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on August 11, 2025 along with her two 3-month old kittens (Weebles and Wobbles) by a Good Samaritan who found this little family in the Little Hocking Ohio area. Mrs. Thumbs has a gray-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, a long tail, and a lovely symmetrically-marked face with large golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. This little momma has a friendly, rather demure, personality. She was understandably very shy when she found herself in an unfamiliar place with so many other cats nearby but is responding to the attention and kindness from our compassionate HSOV kennel techs. Mrs. Thumbs weighed 7 lbs on August 11, 2025. She was given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on September 8, 2025. Mrs. Thumbs was given booster vaccines on September 25, 2025. Mrs. Thumbs was spayed on October 3, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 6 lbs that day. Momma Thumbs is sharing a double-wide cage with her male kitten (Weebles). They are very bonded with each other and provide security/comfort for each other, so we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Her female kitten (Wobbles) went home with a foster mother on August 11, 2025 since she is most likely a CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) kitty (a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. This is a disorder found in cats (and dogs) which causes jerky movements, tremors and generally walking and balance problems. It is a non-progressive and non-contagious condition. Symptoms appear at birth although they may not be noticed until the kitten starts walking. Mrs. Thumbs and Weebles are ready to find a loving home with an individual or family who will have the patience and understanding to let them acclimate to their new home on their own schedule.

Story
Copper is a beautiful 3-year old female Extra-Toes Hemingway Polydactyl/Tabby kitty who was surrendered by her tearful owner on April 18, 2026 because the male cat in her home was attacking Copper (and she is docile and did not attempt to defend herself). Since the male cat had been in their home for a long time, they made the difficult decision to give Copper the opportunity to find a home where she would be safe, loved, and protected. Copper has an orange tabby shorthaired coat, extra toes on her front paws, a long ringed tail, and a cute face with dark golden eyes, a pink nose, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and long white whiskers. These photos of Copper were taken on April 22nd. This little playgirl has an outgoing 'Type A' personality and is always at the front of her cage in anticipation of fun-and-games or attention from her people friends ... Copper has a sweet, affectionate personality and is good with children. Our kennel techs have confirmed that she gets along with other cats who are nice to her Copper was given vaccinations and Pyrantel dewormer on April 18, 2026. She weighed 9.2 lbs that day. Since Copper has already been spayed, she could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application.
