Hershey is a 10 year old, 18 lb male Chiweenie pulled from a high kill shelter at the last minute. Hershey is house trained, crate trained and would thrive in a calm household with a confident, strong leader, and would do best in a home with no children This low rider boy must have had a VERY rough past...He is now thriving with our trainer and learning how to be a happy "short legged", ball retriever and strong headed little senior guy!!Hershey loves to follow strong leadership and needs a pack leader owner that will keep on throwing the tennis ball and take him on daily long walks (his legs are shorts but function very well and as fast as possible!) We are looking to give Hershey the happy future he deserves...Hershey needs some time and space first to give you his trust... when you gain it, he is a very loyal companion. Taco is the fluffiest, friendliest guy around, ready to bring joy and warmth to any home. A happy-go-lucky sweetheart, he's quickly become a campus favorite thanks to his gentle nature and love for making new friends. He gets along well with respectful dogs and truly has never met a stranger. Though Taco is blind, it doesn't slow down his enthusiasm for life-or his eagerness for affection. Once you're on his radar, you're his new best friend!Taco also had a seizure in his foster home which is now being controlled by a twice daily medication, follow-up with your primary vet is highly encouraged after adoption. Taco is looking for a family familiar with caring for sight-impaired dogs to help him acclimate safely and confidently. He'll need guidance on leash walks and support as he continues learning potty training. His beautiful coat also requires regular brushing and trips to the groomer to keep him looking his best.
