Story
Mika is a sweet and cuddly 5 year old Pomsky. We’ve had her since she was a puppy, but due to life circumstances we can’t give her the home she deserves. We would love to find her a home that will provide physical and mental stimulation and exercise. Mika has some anxiety and takes a while to warm up to new people and dogs, but once she gets to know you, she will not leave you alone. She barks at the door and when strangers come in, but she calms down quickly. We’re looking for someone who can take her on adventures and train her consistently. Please let us know if you can provide her a safe and loving home

Story
How this pet arrived: Dash was brought in by his previous owner on February 15, 2025 Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Dash! He's a young dog in training who's still learning that the world can be a safe place. He may start out cautious when everything is new, but with patience and a calm, steady approach, his sweet nature starts to shine. He can seem a bit reserved at first, yet once he trusts you, he really begins to blossom. Dash isn't walking on a leash just yet, so he'll need a fully enclosed outdoor space where he can safely potty and explore. He'll also appreciate a cozy, quiet spot indoors where he can retreat, relax, and recharge when he's had enough excitement. Having a confident, well-adjusted dog in the home would be a big help - someone who can show him the ropes and help him feel more secure as he continues building confidence. Dash would do best in a home with children ages 8 and up, and all family members should be present for the meet-and-greet. With encouragement, consistency, and a little belief in his potential, Dash is ready to become a beloved member of the family! At SDHS:Dash has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home! Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 33.2 Age: 0yrs 10mths 2wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Hunter was brought in by their previous owner on February 1, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Hunter is a charming, playful boy with a nose for fun and a heart full of love! He's always on the hunt for his next adventure - whether that's a walk full of sniff-worthy discoveries or a cozy cuddle session after a day well spent. With his sweet personality and tail-wagging enthusiasm, Hunter is sure to retrieve your heart in no time. Hunter is required to be in a home where kids are 6 years and older, and he asks that all children be present for the meet-and-greet-he likes to make sure everyone passes the vibe check before handing out kisses. If you already have a dog at home, Hunter is required to meet the resident dog at our campus to be sure they'll be pawsome roommates. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts fun and good-boy energy, Hunter is ready to track you down and start his next chapter. Come meet him - you might just find what you've been searching for all along! At SDHS:Hunter has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!
