Meet Fresno, a spunky little guy with a soft side waiting to shine! Fresno is about 3 years old and full of personality. He is crate trained and currently working on potty training (cold weather is definitely not his favorite!). Fresno is a sensitive soul who can be anxious and nervous in new situations and is slow to warm up, which may sometimes come across as being a bit nippy when he’s unsure. Because of this, Fresno will need a child-free home with someone who has prior dog experience and understands how to work patiently with dogs who need time, structure, and reassurance. With consistency, gentle guidance, and continued confidence-building, Fresno has great potential to grow into a more secure and trusting companion. Once Fresno feels safe and bonded, his sweet side comes out—he enjoys relaxing and napping with his people and truly values quiet companionship. He would do best in a calm, predictable home where his boundaries are respected and his progress is celebrated. Story
Cashew is a little guy with a unique personality, and we’re still getting to know him as he settles into foster care. Here’s what his fosters have learned about him so far. Cashew is crate trained and currently working on his potty training. He enjoys going for walks, relaxing in the sun, and snuggling up when he’s feeling comfortable. One of his favorite things is wearing cozy sweaters to stay warm, and he also loves going for car rides. When it comes to food, Cashew can be a bit particular — he’s not very food motivated unless it’s something high value, but he definitely gets excited for dinner time. Cashew can be selective about his dog friends but does get along well with some other dogs. He does not do well with children and will need an adult-only home where he can feel safe and relaxed. Cashew also seems to prefer women and would do best in a quiet home with a female adopter who can give him the calm environment he thrives in. With patience and understanding, Cashew will make a wonderful companion for the right person. Reed has made wonderful progress since arriving at Reach Rescue. His foster family continues to fall more in love with him every day—they describe him as incredibly cuddly, and just the right amount of attention-seeking in the sweetest way. Reed still adores all the simple things: treats, belly rubs, and plenty of snuggles. If you’re sitting down, you can count on Reed being right there beside you, happily soaking up all the love. After being rescued from a hoarding situation in southern Illinois, potty training was “ruff” at first but he is now fully trained on potty pads and becoming more comfortable with going potty outside! Reed absolutely loves other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion by his side. He especially enjoys having a dog buddy to cuddle with and would do best in a home with another friendly dog where he can feel safe and supported.
