🐾 Meet Chispita (Chippy) — A Little Lap, a Lot of Love! 💗
At 14 years young and just 10 pounds, Chispita—affectionately known as Chippy—is a sweet senior Chihuahua looking for a soft place to land and a loving family to share her golden years.
💕 A Professional Lap Warmer
Chippy's favorite things are simple: going for walks, curling up in a warm lap, and being close to her favorite people.
She's also an expert burrower! Whether she's snuggled into her crate, tucked under a blanket on the sofa, or curled up beside you in bed, Chippy knows how to make herself comfortable.
🏡 A Peaceful Place to Call Home
Chippy gets along with other dogs, although she appreciates having her own space and being left alone when she's resting.
She also does well with older children who understand how to be gentle and respect her boundaries. Because she doesn't enjoy being grabbed or having her toys taken away, a calm home without young children would be her best fit.
Chippy is housetrained with regular trips outside and will use a potty pad when needed. She's also crate trained and does well when left alone.
👀 A Little Extra Consideration
Chippy has limited vision in her right eye, so it's best to approach her from her left side. Otherwise, she gets around well and enjoys her daily activities.
At her age, a little patience, a predictable routine, and a comfortable place to rest will go a long way toward helping her feel safe and loved.
