After her owner tragically lost their home in a fire, Piper is looking for a fresh start and a loving lap to call her own. This tiny girl may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines. Piper absolutely loves attention and affection and is happiest curled up beside her favorite person or soaking up the sunshine during a cozy nap. Piper enjoys the simple things in life—walks around the neighborhood, car rides, pup cups, and plenty of cuddle time. She has lived with other animals before and can do well with cats and small dogs when introduced properly. Piper’s Highlights: 🐾 9 years old and 5 pounds 🐾 Sweet, affectionate, and loves to cuddle 🐾 Enjoys sunbathing, walks, car rides, and pup cups 🐾 Can do well with cats and small dogs with proper introductions 🐾 Best suited for a home with older children 🐾 Adjusting well to being crated at the shelter 🐾 Can be vocal at times 🐾 May experience some separation anxiety 🐾 Not fully potty trained and will need frequent potty breaks Piper has been through a lot of change recently, but she hasn’t lost her desire to love and be loved. 🐾 Meet Billie 🐾 Billie is an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing in at 19 pounds of pure personality and charm. This sweet girl may be a senior, but don’t tell her that—she still loves to play, explore, and be right by her favorite humans’ side. Billie is a true Velcro dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She would happily spend all day curled up next to her favorite person. At night, she’d much rather snuggle in a human bed than sleep in a kennel, though she tolerates kennel time when needed. This little lady is potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, and gets along well with other dogs. She enjoys exploring the backyard and playing with her people. Billie was understandably anxious during her first day in a new environment, but she settled in quickly and has shown what a fun, affectionate companion she can be. She loves being involved in whatever her humans are doing and is happiest when she’s part of the action. A few things to know about Billie:
