Story
I adopted Sneakers when he was 7. He is now 13. When I adopted him he already had most of his teeth missing. He is fixed and potty trained. He is a senior dog so he doesn't play much he just likes to cuddle and sleep. He never goes potty in the house. He's really sweet!

Story
Gummy Bear is squishy cute boy with lots of love.  We are not 100% what he is a mix of, we see Miniature Pinscher, chihuahua, Kelpie, Lancashire heeler in him.  He has a blue tinted coat that is why we think some chihuahua.  Gummy is a sweet boy that loves to jump in your lap and love you.  He takes a little bit to sniff you out and make sure you are find but with a little food smells on your hands he will be your buddy.  He will need a fenced yard (not an electric one) or someone that likes lots of walks because he does have 2 yr old playful energy.  He will let you know when there is stranger danger.  He would like to sleep with you or under your bed.  He is housetrained if you get him out enough.  We have no idea how he is around kids but since he jumps on adults I would say older kids are better since he does not realize he is smothering you.  We have not had him around cats so do not know how that will go either.  He is good with other dogs and wants to play with them.  Gummy Bear is neutered and current on his vaccinations.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $000 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.May 25, 2026, 1:09 pm

Story
Meet our delightful Tootie a 7 pound beauty that will be your sweetest  shadow! While shy and timid at first in new situations due to her past, Tootie does relax and sticks to her person like velcro. This precious little girl came into rescue not well socialized so she's hard at work learning so many new and exciting things about life and is doing great in a short time! So if you are looking for a curled up mini doughnut to snuggle on your lap, she's your Girl!! Tootie is potty trained and is doing well on crate training as she will happily lay down in it with the door open already. She also gets along with other dogs and even cats, too! Tootie is currently living with two other small breed dogs and several cats. While not very active, she does like to spend time outside with her person. While she is now used to having her leash attached, some coaxing is needed for walking but she will get theref. Due to her shy and timid nature (she has the nervous shakes), young children are not suggested for her and she does need a fenced in yard. This loving little sweetheart just wants to held, loved, petted and kissed. She will even kiss you back   ADOPTION DONATION: $375  *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.         PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! May 27, 2026, 3:11 pm
