Story
The Story of Radar Max and the Bubble This is Radar Max, and as you can see he's a cute, 10ish lb chihuahua mix who's around 2-3 years old. What you can't see is the bubble around him. You see, Max has had some trauma and turmoil in his young life and he feels safest in his bubble, usually by himself. What this means is he doesn't like to be touched for very long, and only when it's on his terms. He also prefers cats and dogs that won't enter his bubble. Because of this he is looking for a special adopter who understands and respects his boundaries. Max needs a quiet and consistent home where he can build confidence in himself, and trust in his humans. He may never be the kind of dog that likes to cuddle and be held, but deep down he enjoys company and companionship. He is fully house trained, is very good on leash, and enjoys rolling around in the yard and getting the zoomies. The truth is, it's hard not to hug and cuddle his cute face especially when he smiles at you. And while Max wants a deep and committed friendship, what he truly desires is the kind of love that gives him time, patience, and respect for boundaries. If you can give Max the special home that he deserves, please apply to adopt. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
