Story
This precious little girl was found in a extremely dangerous situation. I had seen a post about a dog running on the side of a busy four lane. In the pics I thought that she looked like a medium sized pup, maybe 30 lb. Regardless of her size, she needed help & she needed it fast. I had a quick conversation with the man above and said ,"If you need my help, you need to let me spot her on way to town today". Sure enough there she was, I spotted her immediately. This baby was so tiny and very pregnant. For several days I worked on building our relationship. I had learned her routine and found her safe place where I fed her daily. The following morning I set a trap and crossed my fingers and toes. Against all odds ,I got her within an hour & this little girl was exhausted and appeared so relieved. A few weeks later on Easter eve, CoCo Bunny gave birth to four adorable little nuggets "the bunny boys". She is such a special soul, excellent mommy and though she is learning to trust, she will LOVE you like you hung the moon. Her only quirk is that she wants to be with you 24/7. I personally think its because she doesn't want to be left behind ever again. I'm not going to label her "special needs" because her needs are really basic. It's about finding her person, that one needle in the haystack that loves as intensely as Coco does and will give her the attention that she deserves & craves.

Story
Rusty is a very loving 3 year old Chorkie. He loves to play: chase squirrels, tug of war and fetch toys, and wrestle/play with dogmates. He always wants to be with his owner and loves to watch tv in owners lap. We love Rusty very much, but for health reasons we must find him a better home.

Story
Sophie is like a Sour Patch Kid: first she's sour, then she's sweet! She may be a bit unsure at first, but once she feels safe, Sophie's sweet side shines through. This is very typical of her chihuahua-terrier roots, and with a little patience, Sophie quickly blossoms into a loving companion. Once she warms up, Sophie becomes incredibly affectionate and will happily roll over for belly rubs within just a few days. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly loves being close to her favorite human. Sophie would do best in a calm, predictable home. She can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so any canine companions should be well-socialized, tolerant, and respectful of her space. A quieter household suits her best, as her previous home with small children and a large, energetic puppy was simply too overwhelming for her. She is house-trained, sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate beside the bed, and does great when left home. She may experience a little separation anxiety at first, but it typically fades within a few weeks and she has never been destructive. In her current foster home, she comfortably has free run of the house while her humans are away. An older couple or a single adopter looking for a devoted, snuggly companion would be absolutely smitten with Sophie. She’s ready to give her whole heart to someone who will give her the calm, loving home she deserves.
