This sweet, scruffy black Pomeranian came from a terrible puppy mill case and is finally getting the opportunity to learn what life outside of a tiny cage can be like. He is a bit more shy and reserved than some of the other dogs from the case, but he is slowly beginning to adjust to his new surroundings. He is learning how to walk on a leash and is starting to experience the world beyond the only life he has ever known. He can be nervous when faced with new people or experiences, so he will need someone willing to move at his pace and celebrate the small victories along the way.He is dog friendly and does well with other dogs. Having a confident canine companion may help him continue to build confidence as he learns that the world can be a safe place. Due to his fearful and reserved nature, he would not be a good fit for a home with children. He will do best in a calm environment with an adopter who understands his needs and is willing to give him plenty of time to decompress and adjust.Like all of the dogs from this puppy mill case, he is not potty trained and will need patience, consistency, and training. He has had very little socialization or exposure to normal household life, so new experiences may be overwhelming. He will also be a significant flight risk while settling into a new home, making secure doors, gates, fencing, and careful leash handling extremely important.He may take a little longer to come out of his shell, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a wonderful personality waiting to emerge. He just needs someone patient enough to give him the time and security he has never had. With consistency, compassion, and love, we believe he can continue to make progress and become the happy little dog he deserves to be.

Marcus came from a terrible puppy mill case and is finally getting the chance to experience life outside of a tiny cage. He is another one of the dogs who seems to be adjusting relatively quickly. While he is still understandably nervous and has plenty to learn, he is beginning to open up to people and is showing us more of his personality each day. He is learning how to walk on leash and is becoming more comfortable with human interaction and affection.Marcus is dog friendly and seems to take comfort from being around other dogs. With continued patience, structure, and positive experiences, we think he will continue to make great progress.Because of his background and lack of socialization, he will need time to adjust to the sights, sounds, and routines of a normal home. He is not potty trained and will need patient, consistent training. He may also be a flight risk while settling in, so secure doors, gates, fencing, and careful leash handling will be extremely important.Although he has made encouraging progress, Marcus is still a work in progress. He needs an adopter who understands that bringing home a puppy mill dog comes with challenges and is willing to give him the patience and commitment he deserves. We think this little guy has a wonderful future ahead of him.

Tommy is a handsome black Pomeranian who came from a terrible puppy mill case. He had an extremely rough start to life, but he is making progress every day and slowly learning what it means to be a dog.Tommy is still very fearful, but he is already showing us how much potential he has. He has started learning to walk on a leash and is picking it up quickly. He is also dog friendly and does best when he has patient, gentle support while experiencing new things.Because of his fearfulness, Tommy would not be a good fit for a home with young children. He may do well with older, respectful children who understand that he needs time and space to feel comfortable.It is important for potential adopters to understand that all of the dogs from this puppy mill case have had extremely limited lives. Most spent the majority of their lives confined to tiny cages with little to no socialization. As a result, new experiences, environments, people, and everyday household life can be overwhelming for them.None of these dogs are currently potty trained, so adopters should be prepared for accidents and willing to patiently teach them. They will also be flight risks while they are settling into their new homes, so extra precautions with doors, gates, leashes, and secure fencing will be extremely important.Tommy is looking for a committed adopter who understands that his progress will take time. Houdini is a very special boy looking for a very special person. He came to us from a hoarding case involving more than 50 dogs, and he has had very limited positive interaction with people. As a result, Houdini is extremely fearful and undersocialized and is still learning that humans can be trusted.Houdini is completely non-aggressive and has never bitten anyone. His fear shows itself by wanting to avoid people, not by trying to hurt them. He is not the kind of dog who will immediately run up to a stranger for attention. He needs someone who understands fearful dogs and is willing to give him the time, patience, and space he needs to build confidence at his own pace.One of Houdini`s biggest comforts is other dogs. He is very dog friendly and finds reassurance in canine companionship. A confident, friendly dog in his future home could help him continue learning that the world is not such a scary place.Houdini will need an adopter who is prepared for a slower journey. He should be considered a flight risk while he adjusts to his new surroundings, so secure doors and gates and careful management of leashes and new environments will be extremely important.Houdini may not be an easy dog, but he is a dog worth giving a chance to. I truly believe that once he learns that he is safe and loved, he is going to be the sweetest boy. I can absolutely picture him becoming a cuddly little lap dog who wants nothing more than to curl up with his person. ??He just needs someone willing to believe in him and give him the chance to get there.
