**Note: Currently, she is in Korea, but will fly to Vancouver upon adoption. Background Haemi was rescued last year from a puppy mill, where she had been used as a grooming practice dog for students. After her rescue, she stayed at a local shelter and this winter, she came into our care. Haemi has been living peacefully with other dogs at our partner boarding house since then. Personality and Socialization Haemi has a medium energy level and a very sweet and gentle spirit. Haemi is a very lovely and friendly girl. She is gentle and well mannered, and she has been wonderful with everyone she meets, both people and dogs. She is affectionate and loves cuddling. She is not shy around strangers and is very sociable. Behaviour Haemi has shown no signs of separation anxiety. She behaves well during vet visits and walks nicely on leash. She is patient during bath time and car ride. She is trained to use pee pads and has shown no destructive behaviors. She does not bark excessively and has been very easygoing. Health and Diet Haemi is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. She is healthy and ready for her forever home. She eats kibble and is doing well on her current diet. Ideal Home Haemi is a gentle, loving, quiet girl looking for a calm and relaxing home. She would do best with someone who is home often and enjoys a peaceful lifestyle. An experienced and patient adopter would be a wonderful match. With kindness and time, Haemi will reward her forever family with quiet companionship and a soft presence that truly makes a house feel like home. ------------------------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/haemi-2/

Story
Hi there! I’m Jambo, and I’ve been patiently waiting to meet you. Here’s a little bit about me:Breed: Pomeranian mixAge: 2 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 6 kg      Height: 22cm/9inCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Calm, well-mannered, gentle, and easygoing If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart and a peaceful personality, I might be just the dog you’ve been waiting for. My journey hasn’t been easy. I was rescued from a homeless person who could no longer care for me. Despite the instability of my early life, I remained trusting and gentle, learning how to adapt quietly to whatever came my way. Through it all, I never lost my calm nature or my love for human companionship. Once I was rescued, I finally experienced what safety and consistency feel like. With proper care and kindness, I settled in beautifully and showed everyone what a special boy I am. I’m not destructive, I don’t chew on things, and I’m not possessive of toys — I simply enjoy being near my people and feeling secure. Today, I’m a sweet, balanced boy who walks nicely on a leash and enjoys relaxed strolls, peaceful environments, and cozy time at home. I’m well-suited for someone who appreciates a gentle dog with good manners and a loving presence. Now, I’m ready for my forever home — a place where I can feel safe, loved, and truly belong. In return, I’ll offer loyalty, affection, and quiet companionship. Want to see how much of a chill boy I am? Like any rescue, I’ll appreciate patience as I settle into a new routine.                                                                                                                                            Training:• Leash skills: Yes, though continued training is encouraged• House trained: Yes, but I will need help learning where to go in my new home                                                                                                                                                                                  Health notes:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  Adoption fee: $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always try to find a flight without a charge, there may be a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2611317##

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Bori is a mature, gentle girl who spent a long time in a shelter before being rescued. She is the kind of dog whose presence is so quiet that you might not even notice she’s there— soft, calm, and unobtrusive. She rarely barks and enjoys simply staying close to her person. From the very first moment you meet her, she’s the kind of dog who makes you think, “I just want to hold her.” Bori’s personality is pure gentleness. She is calm, well-mannered, and never disruptive to the atmosphere of a home. She stays quietly by your side, which somehow makes you care for her even more, with a tender feeling in your heart. One important note: Bori tends to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. In a new environment, she may have a few potty accidents at first due to nervousness. With a little time and patience, she will adjust and gradually settle in. Bori doesn’t ask for much. A quiet space, a patient person, and a family willing to spend calm, unhurried time together is all she needs. She isn’t overly affectionate or demanding, but just having her nearby is comforting in itself. That’s the kind of dog Bori is. She is no longer looking to be alone— she is waiting for a family who will stay quietly by her side, just as she will for them. 🐾🤍

Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home Hi, my name is Dabok. I’m a Pomeranian mix boy, and I’m estimated to be about 2 years old. I weigh 6.4kg (14.1 lb), which makes me a small, fluffy bundle of love. With my soft white fur, gentle eyes, and the way I wag my tail as I walk up to you, people often tell me I melt their hearts the moment they see me. That’s my special charm—and I love sharing it. But my life didn’t always look this warm and gentle. I was rescued from a shelter where the risk of euthanasia was extremely high. The environment was harsh, and illness was everywhere. Each day, I waited—without knowing if tomorrow would come. And then, at the very last moment, a miracle happened. I was rescued and given another chance at life. Because of what I’ve been through, I treasure human touch and love more than anything. Even the smallest bit of attention means the world to me, and I open my heart sincerely to those who show me kindness. I’m an active yet incredibly affectionate boy. I get along wonderfully with women, men, and children, and I socialize very well with other dogs without conflict. When you pet me, I naturally lean into you, because connecting with people is something I truly enjoy. People often say I feel like I was born to be someone’s companion dog—and I think they’re right. I’m also great on walks! I don’t pull on the leash and walk calmly by your side. I don’t overreact to strangers or other dogs, so our walks together will be peaceful and relaxing. I do well in the car, I’m crate trained, and I’m already trained for outdoor potty habits. That said, when I move into a brand-new environment, I may have a few potty accidents at first. But I already understand the concept, and with love, patience, and a consistent routine, I’ll quickly adjust again. Your understanding and gentle guidance will give me a sense of safety and help me build deep trust with you. My ideal forever family is someone who can embrace my past, see mistakes as part of growing together, and wants to share everyday joys with a loyal companion. If I meet that family, I promise to give back with unwavering trust, a warm presence always by your side, and endless love. I once stood at the door of euthanasia. Now, I stand here—ready to learn love, and ready to give it back. I’m Dabok, and I’m ready to become someone’s forever family.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Ruki🌟 💙 Ruki’s Foster Account: @rookie_adogs 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, heartworm negative and dental scaling complete. * Due to consistent treatment, Ruki has completely recovered from his skin condition and the darkened skin has become pink again. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Ruki (a puppy of #AdogsMiso) was rescued from a hoarder’s home in Gimje, and had been transferred to the Gimje City Shelter. Ruki already had a skin condition and wasn’t able to get proper treatment at the shelter, so Adogs rescued him before it became worse. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a young puppy, he may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict his shedding and growth size because his parents are unknown. * With People: Is shy with new people and isn’t comfortable with human touch yet, so he must be cornered before he can be petted. However, he accepts it nicely once you actually touch him although he still needs more time to become comfortable with it since he’s timid. Lives and moves around comfortably around familiar people. Has overcome his fear of hands and he will he sniffs hands if they come near his nose. * With Dogs: Got along with no issues with other dogs when he lived at the Adogs Center. Hasn’t met new friends yet after moving to his foster home. * With Cats: Hasn’t met cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Stays alone well. * Potty Training: Was previously excellent with pottying indoors using potty pads, but after a visit to the vet, has started having accidents on cushions when scared, whining to have it cleaned up. Is being slowly retrained. * Grooming: Does well with baths. * Walks: Hasn’t had experience with walks yet. * Car Sickness: Has a little bit of car sickness so care is needed. * Biting: Is a kind dog that’s never bitten. * Barking: Whines if he’s forcibly held. If he has a potty accident, he whines as if asking to have it cleaned up. * Likes: Likes treats but the vet suggested to cut back on them, so he’s only being fed a few treats. * Dislikes: Is scared of loud noises and becomes afraid if you move your hands downwards suddenly. Whines and expresses discomfort if you try to hold him. May have potty accidents if you set him down on the floor in areas with many people or at the vet. If you hold him with his bottom well supported, he feels safer. * Tricks: Has started crate training, but there hasn’t been much progress yet.
