Story
Hello, my name is ANGEL and here is a little info about me:Breed: Pomeranian/Chihuahua MixAge: 4 years oldGender: Female, spayedWeight: 8.8 lbsEnergy level: Moderate If you are looking for your true best friend, look no further!  My name is Angel and I could not believe my luck when one kind volunteer saw me on in a shelter in California and sent a team to rescue me. I was overlooked in that busy shelter, and I was scheduled to be euthanized! My precious owners did not have any time for me so I spent my time there with little affection or stimulation. When I was no longer wanted, they decided to drop me off at a shelter knowing I might get euthanized. First when I got rescued, I was afraid of everything but my foster mom says I’m a different dog now! Despite what I have been through I am a very loving and sweet girl but still a little shy meeting new people. I want to live the rest of my life with an incredible family where I am spoiled rotten. I am soaking up all the attention I am getting from my fosters and so excited for my next chapter to begin. No issues around dogs in foster home. I am interested in seeking out human love at this point, LOVE to cuddle and give kisses. Who can blame me? I need to make up for the lost time. Please adopt me, I'm in North Vancouver!  This cute girl is loving, charming and easy going. She is potty trained but she might need some training in a new home.  Energy Level: Moderate I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: Unknown Prey drive: unknown/not observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: unknown/none observed. Training: basicLeash skills: Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes, please be prepared to train me in a new home. I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. Good with dogs,
Story
Hi! My name is HAPPY and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pomeranian mix Age: approx. 6 year  Gender: Male Weight: 12.5 lbs (5.6 kg) Length: 30 cm (nose to bum) Height: 17 cm (paws to head) Current Location: S. KOREA RESCUE STORY – I was rescued from Nonsan shelter in Korea in November 2025. Before entering the shelter, I had lived in the countryside with an elderly grandfather. When my guardian became too old to care for me and moved into a nursing home, the family gave me up. I eventually ended up at Nonsan shelter, where I was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, I was rescued by Doremi Rescue in time! They made sure I got the vet care I needed (including heartworm treatment) and I have since recovered well. I am now in good overall health and ready for my forever home!  TEMPERAMENT – My rescuers describe me as a gentle, calm, and easy-going little guy with excellent everyday manners. I adjust pretty quickly, enjoy walks, and get along well with people and other dogs. I am the ideal companion for a peaceful home, ideally with humans who are around more often than not (or are willing to take me with them!). I have a naturally quiet demeanor and do not demand constant attention. I may be slightly shy at first, but with patience I will come out of my shell! Once I feel safe, I show a sweet, soft, and well-mannered nature. I enjoy walks and calm routines. I'm not usually a big barker, however if left alone in a kennel, I have been known to get a bit barky. When left to free-roam in the home, I'm more calm, quiet, and don't get into mischief. I am friendly and gentle with women, men, and children. Around strangers, I may appear a little shy at first, but I warm up pretty quickly. I am especially well suited for a calm home that will appreciate my peaceful and independent personality.  ENERGY LEVEL – Low. I'm a chill guy who just wants to hangout and relax! I enjoy daily walks, but I'm content to snooze aftewards. Simply put, I prefer a pretty relaxed daily routine. I'm the ideal candidate for a quiet home who wants a chill companion! GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – I have met some children and was very gentle, but no videos of the interactions yet. If an applicant has children, we can request videos be taken! NOTE: all dogs should be supervised around children and should have their space advocated for by adults. Dogs – Yup. I am pretty neutral around other dogs. I generally get along well with the doggos at the shelter, although I prefer quiet observation and my own personal space over active play. I think I would be happiest living as a solo-doggo so I can enjoy all the peace and rest I so deserve! Here is a video of me around some of my shelter mates - I don't mind their presence but I really love human attention more than doggy companionship! Here is another video of me around other dogs  Cats – Unknown. I haven't met any kitties yet. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – I am not super experienced with walks, but my skills aren't too bad! I like to sniff and walk slowly. I don't pull much! I would love an adopter who can help be grow confidence on leash :) A well-fitted harness or collar and lots of positive reinforcement will help me learn! Here is a video of me on leash! House trained – Work in progress, although I am actually pretty good at going potty outdoors in Korea! Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home! Crate trained - Work in progress. I do bark if confined to a kennel, so this is something my adopters may need to work with me on (or preferably, if leaving me alone, leave me in a secure area insgtead of in a crate). Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I tested positive for heartworm when rescued in November 2025. I received the full treatment protocal and have since tested negative for heartworm (yay!). I will remain on regular heartworm and tick prevention in Korea to keep me in good health.  I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. I will have dental cleaning, if necessary, before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.  ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $728.00 CAD ($650.00 + GST & PST) including applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2708859##

Story
Bongbong | 4 Years Old | Neutered Male Pomeranian | Ivory | 3.2 kg | 25 cm   Flight Info Bongbong will be arriving with an in-cabin flight volunteer. Due to current flight availability, we are prioritizing applications from adopters who can pick up in Toronto or Calgary. Bongbong was reported as a stray and entered a municipal shelter, where he was later rescued in January 2026. Now safe and waiting, he’s ready to find a loving home of his own   Personality & People Bongbong can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a bit of patience, he warms up quickly. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes very affectionate and enjoys being touched and cuddled. He can be picked up easily and will even show his belly to those he trusts.   He is good with children under 13 and thrives on human companionship — he’s truly a people-oriented little dog   With Other Dogs Bongbong is not particularly interested in other dogs and prefers focusing on his humans. He may bark at smaller or more timid dogs to act “tough,” but he does not show aggressive behaviors such as biting. Around larger or more confident dogs, he tends to be submissive and keeps his distance.   With Cats He has not been tested with cats yet, but testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level He has a moderate energy level — he enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but settles down nicely afterward. He tends to be more playful and active when people are around.   Walks & Training Bongbong walks well on leash and enjoys his outings!   He is currently trained to use pee pads indoors and also goes potty outside.   Additional Notes • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though he is food-motivated • No separation anxiety observed • Calm and quiet in a crate during transport • May bark when excited to see people (typical Pomeranian trait), and could develop some demand barking in a home environment   Bongbong would do best in a home that can give him the love and attention he seeks, while continuing to provide gentle structure and guidance. He’s a sweet, affectionate companion who will truly shine once settled into his forever home   Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Pleae also visit our Facebook page or Instagram! ##2707773##
