SPECIAL NEEDS! I need VERY SLOW INTRODUCTIONS to new people. If you are an experienced and patient dog owner, I'm the guy for you! I was at the Sacramento SPCA for 1.5 months and was terrified of the unknown. Now that I am out of there, I am becoming more comfortable and am working on gaining some confidence. The first thing that I normally do when being approached by my foster mom and uncle is roll over on my back for belly rubs. I will also do a happy dance when they talk to me. I have become very fond of my foster uncle and love to just hang out with him. I am smart and a people pleaser so should be easy to train. Despite the fact that I was kept chained up outside 24/7, I am crate and house-trained (I use a doggie door), know "sit" and "stay" and LOVE going for car rides. I lived with a 9 year old child but I would do best in a home with older or no children due to my fearfulnes. Although I am currently living with other dogs, I prefer to be the only dog. I would do best in a home with a yard to run in. I have not been cat tested yet.

Robin is 11 years old and 15 pounds. He responds well to slow handling and calm words. He enjoys relaxed folks who understand that he likes polite interactions. He's just a little old man!I don't have a history with dogs, and I may do well with a slow introduction!I don't have a history with cats, and I may do well with them!I would do best in a home with adults and older teens!If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Zoey is the sweetest most loving dog. The only reason I’m looking to rehome her is because I’m traveling very often and I have an infant at home. I would like to find a loving family for her to call home. She’s 40 lbs and 10 years old. She’s up to date with all vaccines and fixed. She has a microchip. Based on Embark’s DNA test, her breed is mixed Pomeranian (50%), Weimeriner (28.6%), Labrador Retriever (17%), and Golden Retriever (4.4%). She eats a vet recommended diet of Royal Canin Urinary SO dry dog food. I have a dog kennel, two leashes, and a few toys that can go with her.
