He is a runner, so be careful when you let him out. He’s a Pomeranian and weighs about 15 pounds. His foster mom says he’s partially potty trained. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. SPECIAL NEEDS! I need VERY SLOW INTRODUCTIONS to new people. If you are an experienced and patient dog owner, I'm the guy for you! I was at the Sacramento SPCA for 1.5 months and was terrified of the unknown. Now that I am out of there, I am becoming more comfortable and am working on gaining some confidence. The first thing that I normally do when being approached by my foster mom and uncle is roll over on my back for belly rubs. I will also do a happy dance when they talk to me. I have become very fond of my foster uncle and love to just hang out with him. I am smart and a people pleaser so should be easy to train. Despite the fact that I was kept chained up outside 24/7, I am crate and house-trained (I use a doggie door), know "sit" and "stay" and LOVE going for car rides. I lived with a 9 year old child but I would do best in a home with older or no children due to my fearfulnes. Although I am currently living with other dogs, I prefer to be the only dog. I would do best in a home with a yard to run in. I have not been cat tested yet.
