Story
Hi there, I`m Penelope! I`m a bundle of joy, packed with playful energy. I love exploring and my curious nature means I`m always ready for a new adventure. I`ve got a knack for making people laugh with my funny antics. I can jump super high, and nothing beats a good zoomie session. When I`m not bouncing around, I`m as sweet as can be, always ready for a cuddle. I`m brave too, not much scares me. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share my love, energy, and cuddles. I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and endless fun. Adopt me and let`s start our adventure together!

Story
Viper is 8 lbs and 7 years old. He is located in the East SF Bay Area. Viper is a happy little guy with a big, silly personality! He has not met a person or dog he doesn’t like. He’s even good with the cat!   He is excellent on walks and car rides. He is always hungry and will smile and dance for treats. He also knows how to “sit” when prompted. He recently went to the groomer who said he was very well behaved, and this was definitely not his first time at the groomers!   He will need some patience with house training, because he is a “marker” but he is not opposed to wearing belly bands, which have been so helpful! He was recently neutered so we’re hoping it helps with curbing that behavior. He was no problem wearing belly bands and doesn’t try to take them off.   He can be anxious in new environments and will need a little time to decompress in a new home. Fortunately his anxiety just comes out as him being squirmy and wanting to be close to his person and get lots of love. He has calmed down quite a bit in his foster home (he’s only been there two weeks) and he seems very content. He will do the same in his new home.   He has a collapsed trachea (common in small breeds) which can make him cough, and pant at times. This also means it’s important for his family to use a harness rather than a collar for walks and outings.   Viper would fit in with an active family or a single person who wants a lap dog. He’d be happy to have a friendly dog or cat sibling, or be a single pup. As long as he can be the center of someone’s attention and love, he will be thrilled to be yours.   GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Working on it Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Yes Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. Story
Meet the ooooober handsome Geordi La Forge!   This special guy is around 11 lbs and we are guessing approximately 14 years old. This is what his foster mom says about him -   'Geordi Geordi Geordi... what can I say about this beautiful little bundle of joy!? It took some time for this little Angel to come out of his shell, s He is a black and white, neutered male Pomeranian. The shelter said he is about 4 years old, the vet stated more like 14...but he has all of his teeth, and they don't look bad either! So I'm guessing he is much younger than that, but I'm not an expert, so who really knows!? He came from a hoarding situation, but we dont know much about his upbringing. His poor little rear end had so much hair loss, but its slowly growing back. His face is a little crooked and we don't know if it was an old injury, or birth defect. He yawns smaller than normal because his mouth is a little crooked, but I think it makes him that much more beautiful .   I Love this little dog! He is sweet, gentle, loving, and potty trained to potty pads. He even uses a doggy door to go outside! He gives his foster mama kisses, although it took about 3 weeks for him to really come out of his shell, but he is out now and fully loving life! He greets me at the door and wags his little tail when I come home, even bounces and spins sometimes too! He is really is a happy little guy. He is very quiet, and does sleep quite a bit, but if you aren't hanging out with him on the couch, he WILL come find you even if you are in dispose ()! He does really well on small flights of stairs, its about 5 to get outside my home. He has a pretty good appetite and loves his Freeze Dried Raw Stella and Chewys Pet food, but kinda snubs the Nulo kibble .   He gets along well with other dogs big and small...he doesnt play much, but is the best couch potato Netflix snuggler you can find! Hands down, he will LOVE those weekend binge fests! Oh and the belly rubs , he absolutely LOVES his belly rubs! I'll get him up from a nap and say let's go potty Geordi! And he will just roll over and give me his belly. He makes my heart melt .   He would probably do best in a home with older more chill kids as he does have a bit of a sight and hearing impairment and can get nippy if he is approached too fast or aggressively. He also doesn't like going to the vet because it scares him, so he can be nippy there too. But once he knows you, and knows you won't hurt him, he will be your best friend furrever! '   Are you that special someone he has been looking for!?   If you are interested in any further information on this beautiful little bundle of joy, please email at: beourpet@gmail.com   Geordi is ready and waiting to meet you!    We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  June 7, 2025, 6:31 pm

Story
Hanzo (male, pomeranian mix) and Misha (female, shih tzu mix) are looking to go to a new home together as their current owners are moving into a senior living facility that unfortunately does not allow animals. Both Hanzo and Misa are reported to be very friendly with strangers and will accept pets from anyone. They are very healthy and have routine checkups with their veterinarians. These two are a bonded pair and would love to go to a home together. If you are interested in meeting Hanzo and Misa, please reach out to their current owner at: rwu@ucdavis.edu. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
