Sonny is an adorable 13-pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, around 2 years old. If you’re looking for built-in best friends who will fill your days with love and laughter, please consider giving Sonny and Cher their forever family. We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce, CA, and in-person home checks for all adoptions.

#SaveUsProject is a long-term rescue initiative by WEACT, focused on saving dogs at risk of euthanasia in municipal shelters and caring for them until they find loving homes. Many of these dogs have already endured hardship, whether from life on the streets, accidents, or abuse. Even after arriving at shelters, they often remain unseen and continue to face an uncertain future. After coming across a dog with injuries and dried blood around the eyes, WEACT set out for the Nonsan animal shelter in January 2026. Upon arrival, the shelter was filled with the sounds of distressed dogs, and it was impossible to walk away with just one. That day, eight dogs were rescued, marking the beginning of the first #SaveUsProject rescue of the new year.
