She’s house broken and crate trained. A soft warm bed, a set of loving arms to hold her. A short toddle around the yard and good food to fill her little belly. That’s all she wants and like most super senior pups her care needs are all about keeping her comfortable and happy. She’s a simple girl and just wants the simple things for the time she has left. At only 7lbs she doesn’t take up much space and she promises she’s as quiet as a mouse. Foxy was part of a group of 13 senior dogs who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Foxy is part of this crew and looking for the perfect retirement home to call her own. She isn’t perfect. No senior pup is. Her balance isn’t perfect and she walks with a head tilt and will circle a bit in new environments. But once she’s acclimated the circling is much less and she enjoys short little walks in her home and yard. She’s has a sweet and loving personality and is hopeful the right family will love her just the way she is and not expect the perfection that comes with youth. She’s dog friendly and pretty easy all things considered. If you’re looking to open your home to a senior and give them the end of life they deserve Foxy would love to go home with you. You love humans but will approach hesitantly, with just a touch of shyness, until you’re comfortable. But your sweetness always wins and you can’t help but lean in for that soft touch and gentle stroke. We can’t believe you spent weeks running the streets of a rural city with a pack of dogs. Alone, unwanted, dirty and flea covered. This isn’t the life for a pom or any dog but you were lucky. Good Samaritans scooped you up and now you’re living in foster care showing everyone what a good girl you are. House trained, calm, gentle and unassuming you want nothing more than the kindness humans can bring and a home to call your own. You’re great with other dogs. Love the older respectful children and have a very easy personality. We think you’re about as close to perfect as a dog can come. Ferris and his 2 siblings were picked up in Arvin, Ca... a notorious dumping ground for dogs. This is a town right outside of Bakersfield. The pups are so adorable... like little foxes. They are a little nervous at first with human interaction, but once you have them, they just melt in your arms. They are young and playful and resemble little baby foxes. All 3 of there coming along quickly and enjoying their new lives in their foster homes. Chopper is around 1 year old and weighs 16 pounds, All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them.
