Story
These dogs came from a over population case where the owner reached out to us for help.  He was in over his head.  He had 38 dogs and 3 moms that gave birth.  We were able to get everyone fixed.  The owner says all of them come from a Pomeranian grandma dog and a grandpa cattle dog.  He said a few may have jumped the fence so we do not know the other breeds mixed in.  There is no dog over 50lbs on the property.  Most of them when we got them fixed were between 35 to 45lbs.  They are all so very sweet. They all get along with other dogs.  They would love to get their own family.  They would make amazing family dogs.  We start with an application so please request one.  It was faster to do a group description then an individual one while I am adding them to these sites. They are all fixed, chipped and have their shots.March 10, 2024, 11:55 pm

Story
PomPom is a very dear senior Pomeranian lady, only 4.5 lbs,  with cataracts and diabetes.  She gets two injections 12 hours apart daily - learning of her diabetes has made a world of difference in her energy and quality of life.  She navigates our home very well and is excellent with our house dogs.  They all respect her; she finds whatever she needs....water bowl, her favorite beds.... She would love a sponsor to cover her medical and grooming needs - and visitors who will enjoy spending time with her in a B&B visiting area, getting treats and soaking up some one-on-one love time. Even better would be to invite a few small pals to hang out, share lunch and sniff one another.  Some time back one of our employees spent her lunch time every day with an abandoned wee one with nuerological issues.  This routine enabled her to heal and get adopted by a terrific home. New volunteer sponsored grooming for her! Much thanks.... *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Story
Gracie came to us after almost losing her life at our vet office for no medically sound reason. Her owner just couldn’t have her around anymore. Luckily our vet gave us a call and asked if we could take her as putting her to sleep was the last thing she needed! Aside from some allergies that are being treated with medications, this girl has a clean bill of health. At 9 years old, her attitude and spunk makes it clear she has a lot of life to live and love to give! Gracie is a dream. She is independent and can happily be by herself but takes any chance she gets to be by your side. She does great on walks with minimal pulling, does wonderful in the car (just sleeps on her bed), and enjoys being around other dogs (although is happy without them as well). She’s a happy girl who is always smiling and wagging her tail so fast you’d think she could fly. Sleeps through the night, potty trained, treat motivated, and a cuddle queen. Gracie seems very comfortable with a crate as well. Come meet this special little love! $100 adoption fee/fee waived for seniors (65+) adopting senior pets (8+)

Story
Located in Pomona, CA We received news yesterday from Western University Pet Health Center regarding Gigi's biopsy results, following her extensive surgeries for multiple mammary tumors. The diagnosis was not what we had hoped for; several tumors were benign, but two were carcinomas, with life expectancy projections of six to 19 months and six to 24 months. The knowledge that a spay could have extended her life makes this diagnosis particularly frustrating. On a somewhat positive note, the biopsy determined that her hair loss is allergy-related. This case illustrates our dedication to rescue animals like Gigi, ensuring they have a high quality of life despite their limited life expectancy. Given the difficulties of the past year, this news has been especially disheartening, but we are committed to maximizing her remaining time. ##2656787##
