Story
One year old (Feb 2024) chocolate Pomeranian looking for a new home. He is VERY high energy and strongly believes that he is a BIG dog, even though he is only 5 pounds. He will nip and bark at the larger dogs to boss them around. Unfortunately this gives my 3 year old dog even more anxiety than she already has and is not fair to her. The cats just jump to higher ground to get away from him but he has never tried to hurt them, he's just louder than they prefer. He is house trained however as a small dog he has a small bladder and does need to go out frequently. Crate trained to eat and sleep in his crate. Tolerates being combed out daily to keep the knots away but would rather play than sit still. When he's done playing he is more than willing to sit in your lap while you work. $650 adoption fee includes AKC registration, neuter, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, May Nexguard Spectra treatment, crate, crate cover, food bowl and enough food to integrate into your preferred food

Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree, Bree The cutest dog who cannot see Soft and furry is her coat When on your lap, you will surely dote She dreams of her own forever family For your love and loyalty she does plea Yes, Bree loves poetry! She also loves snuggles, treats, sniffing around the yard, and squeaky toys. Bree was an only dog for most of her life. Then she arrived at our crazy home and had to adjust to sharing everything with the other dogs. She is now a well-mannered, affectionate, friendly little gal. Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around. She makes a cute low grumbling sound when she needs to go outside or wants the water bowl filled up. Just don't bother her when she is eating - she is very serious about meal time! Bree has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them to get the squeaker out! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and is a big Phillies fan. Her favorite player is Brandon Marsh - Bree likes his long beard. She is also an excellent car rider. Bree knows to "sit" when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. As with any blind dog, Bree can be startled by a sudden noise or touch. She would do best with older children (over age 6). She needs to be introduced slowly to other dogs. Bree prefers a private dining experience. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Copper was a rescue dog and has lived with us for over ten years. He’s a loving dog but is now requiring elderly needs. He is hearing impaired and seeing impaired. If not let out frequently, he will go inside the house even though he was previously fully potty trained. He can get anxious and will continuously bark. He needs a patient new home who is able to take care of his needs.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! NOTE: Stu and Pokey are bonded and must be adopted together. Meet Stu! He’s an adorable 12-year-old long-hair Chihuahua/Pom Mix, looking for his forever home with his best bud Pokey. He’s 13 pounds of fluff and a perfect mixture of sweet and salty. He loves his belly rubs, will follow you from room to room and hasn’t met a dog bed that he doesn’t love. But he’s also an old man who can’t be bothered with play time or the young pups and will use his voice to let you know if you are in his space. An all- adult home is a must. He is fine with other dogs and cats and will leave them alone. He loves his morning and evening strolls, taking his sweet ol’ time smelling all the things but don’t stray too far from the house because this little roly poly will get tired. He was overweight when he came to our rescue, has lost some weight, but still has several more pounds to lose. He is potty trained when taken out regularly but prefers to do his #2 on his walks, so daily walks are a must. He’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly especially if you have a treat! Once you have earned his trust, he will not leave your side. He walks well on a leash with his buddy Pokey and he asks to come up on the hooman bed. He prefers a lazy laid back morning routine. It takes him a minute to get going, which is perfect for those of us who want to enjoy a cup of coffee before we start our day. He’s very low maintenance, needing only a brush out every now and then. And he got a stellar review from the groomer. He recently had all his teeth removed so soft food is a must. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area are looking for a laid back, chillaxed companion to keep you company and fill your life with love then this guy and his bonded buddy Pokey are the dream team for you. Complete an app for them and tell us more about you.  April 22, 2025, 10:36 pm
