Bruce Wayne (male) is part of a bonded pair. He wants to be part of the pack and has integrated seemlesly with our dogs and mostly ignores the cats. Bruce is chill and enjoys watching everyone in his vicinity. Some of Bruce’s favorite things are food, cuddles, and being adored by Kitty. Bruce would do well in a house where he can get a lot of attention. They do not like loud noises, but acclimate well to new loving surroundings. A little bit of love goes a long way with these 2. Bruce had a lot of accidents when he first came to us. He has since been neutered, which has lessened this behavior drastically.

Kitty is a bonded pair with her Bruce Wayne. Kitty is grudgingly on a weight loss journey. She loves food and will enthusiastically cheer you on as you make her meals. Kitty will do well in a quiet, secure home, where routine will make her feel secure. When she first arrived with us she had many accidents in the house. This has slowed down as she has become acclimated to her surroundings. Kitty ignores our cats. She takes a moment to get comfortable with humans and dogs. Once she feels safe, her sassy side will come out. Kitty is learning to love laps and cuddles.

Sarah is ready for a fresh start! She came from a crowded living situation which means everything about living in a traditional home is brand new to her. Right now the world feels a bit scary but under that shy exterior is a gentle heart. Since she is still learning the ropes, her new family will need to help her understand housebreaking, how to play with toys, ask for pets, and walk well on a leash. She is a flight risk. Watching a confident resident dog would help her realize that humans can be trusted. If you have the time, love, and patience to watch a dog blossom at their own pace, come meet Sarah today! Sarah recently finished heartworm treatment. She can be adopted but will need to keep calm while she is recovering from the treatments. Sarah is four years old and weighs 12 pounds.All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. Story
Meet Gomez, a 13 year old 19 pound Pomeranian.  This sweet guy is looking for his hopefully forever home. Gomez was adopted from Needy Paws as a 5 year old back in 2018 to what he thought was his forever home. But sadly his adopter abandoned him 8 years later as he was found roaming around by himself in a field in Jefferson County and taken to animal control where we happily reclaimed him. His owner was contacted but never reclaimed him.   Gomez is a great dog who has been through a lot, he lost his home, he lost most of his beautiful fluffy hair due to a much-needed grooming, but don’t worry it’s growing back, he’s lost his hearing most likely to old age and he recently lost most of his remaining teeth due to neglect.  He has a few back teeth left and this has not affected his eating.    Gomez is pretty healthy and happy for an old guy, with just the normal aches and pains of an elderly dog due to some arthritis in his legs. He does sometimes have a slight cough due to a slightly softened trachea, but otherwise no other symptoms. He gets along fine, just more slowly than a younger dog. He would do best in a home with few to no stairs and with someone who is home a lot. He’s great with the other small dogs and cats in his foster home. Gomez will need to go to a home with a fenced in yard, no exceptions.   He is potty trained and will let you know when it’s time to go outside to potty.  He does like spending time in the yard just walking around and checking things out so he will need a fence.  Most of all he loves snoozing in his dog bed.    This little man is extremely sweet and deserves to find a home that appreciates all his good qualities. His foster knows his perfect home is out there. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Gomez’s adoption fee is $150.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Poor little Bogey found herself with out a home or family as her momma passed away and her daddy had to enter the nursing home. She is a silly, sweet  little girl with plenty of energy for her age. She loves to play and talk to you. She came in with a bladder full of bladder stones that we had surgically removed. She will need to be on a special very inexpensive medication mixed into her food for the rest of her life to ensure no more stones occur. She is good with other dogs and doesn't mind the cats. We really don't know if she is good with kids. I think she would be fine with ages 10 years and up. ##2859662##
