Story
Itally is a sweet senior looking for a new place to live out her golden years!  She is still working on coming out of her shell, but she is settling in at her foster home.  Right now she prefers to just relax by herself, but she does not mind the company of other dogs.  She is a very relaxed and content dog.  You could never tell her age as she is very happy and calm once she decompresses.  It may take her a few minutes, but she'll eventually melt into your lap.  While previous owners reported that she was having potty accidents, she is thriving at her new foster home.  She's doing well with going outside as long as she has a sweater on in thie Nebraska "spring" weather! The suggested adoption donation for Itally is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. Story
Buddy is a very sweet little guy.  He is about 10 years old and 7-10 lbs.  He is a happy guy.  He has lived with other dogs and does fine.  He ignores the cat in his foster home.  He has been around kids.  He really just likes some attention and love.  He is housetrained if you get him out enough.  He he is great on a leash.  He is neutered and recently just had a dental and all his vaccinations done.  He is a doll.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first.
