Story
I was asked to foster Sassy for the summer due to her owner not the one being unable to take care of her. Now the owner has decided not to take her back. I have two other dogs and a new baby and cannot give sassy the attention that she needs. She is a wonderful dog. She loves to sit on your lap. She will fetch a tennis ball for hours if you throw it and she always brings it back to you. She can be a little bit of a barker, but that is due to her breed. She gets along with other dogs, though she’s not a fan of our big dog. I have been giving her an allergy itchy, skin supplement because sometimes she can get a little itchy with her skin. She has lots of toys, clothes, scissors, kennel that come with her. Currently her vaccination statuses is unknown because the previous owner cannot show proof. There is a free immunization clinic on September 9 that I plan on taking her to. She is neutered and approximately 7 to 8 years old.

Story
Meet Bingo – Proof That Age Is Just a Number (and Fluff Is a Lifestyle) Bingo is a 9-year-old red Pomeranian who clearly missed the memo about “slowing down with age.” His previous owners fully expected to grow old with him… but Bingo had other plans. He’s still active, social, and ready for adventure, and eventually his people just couldn’t keep up with his zest for life. Bingo was well loved and well fed, and now he’s on a health journey of his own. He’s already slimmed down to 23 pounds and is working toward a goal weight of around 20 pounds. Don’t be fooled by his super fluffy coat—it adds volume, not pounds. His hair doesn’t require regular grooming, but regular brushing keeps him looking fabulous (which he absolutely knows he is). This happy guy loves people and will enthusiastically greet visitors like they’re his long-lost best friends. He enjoys being outdoors in almost any weather (other than over 90 summer days, too much hair for that) and walks nicely on a leash, but his dream setup includes a fenced yard so he can go out often and soak up the world. Bingo is also an excellent car passenger and would happily tag along on most outings. Bingo would like a home where someone is home most of the time. Bingo used to experience anxiety when left alone, so he is now taking a daily medication called Clomipramine. This daily medication helps him relax (without making him sleepy) at a cost of about 58 cents a day—a small price for peace of mind and a happy pup. He was used to being the only dog and would probably prefer that arrangement. Bingo is not accustomed to small children and would not enjoy their sudden movements or high activity levels. At night, Bingo likes to sleep at the foot of his human’s bed, though he’s also perfectly content snoozing in a dog bed in the same room. He is housetrained and will nap in an open kennel, but he does not appreciate being shut in—he likes the sense of security and the freedom to make his own choices. Bingo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on prevention. All he’s missing is a home that matches his energy, appreciates his personality, and maybe helps him keep an eye on that waistline. If you’d like to meet Bingo, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. Questions? Call 319-929-6657 or email lynette@furfunrescue.org. Bingo is ready to meet you—and he promises to greet you like a celebrity walking the red carpet. Indoor homes only. Adopters must be within 2 hours of Cedar Rapids, IA. Adoption fee for Bingo is $300.
