Foster Home Feedback 1/3/26 Foster Feedback: We’ve had Charlotte Pickles (aka Charlie) for just over two months now, and she continues to do wonderfully. She hasn’t had any accidents in over a month, which makes us confident that the few early accidents were related to illness rather than training issues. Charlotte spends most of the workday laying quietly on her foster moms lap while she works or curled up in a dog bed with her sisters nearby. Charlotte is excellent at taking medications—no fuss at all—which has made her care very easy. She also was very polite at her vet exams. She can be a bit sneaky with food, so we recommend being mindful with human food around her. She’s also discovered the kitty litter box, so in a home with cats, making the litter box less accessible would be a good idea. She gets along well with our dogs, but Charlotte has made it clear that she loves being the main character and is still working on sharing her people. Because of this, she would be just fine as an only dog or in a home with dogs who don’t mind sharing their people so she can soak up more one-on-one attention. We’re so excited for this loving, goofy girl to find her forever people—she truly deserves it! 12/14/25 Foster Feedback: Charlotte Pickles—better known as Charlie—is an absolute sweetheart who has been with us for a little over six weeks. When she first arrived, she had a few medical hurdles to overcome, but even then, her affectionate personality shone through. From the moment she walked into our home, she bonded quickly with her foster mom and, with just a little time, became just as loving and snuggly with her foster dad. Charlotte is a deeply affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She’s food‑motivated, goofy, and guaranteed to make you laugh daily. She’s also a bit of a clumsy grumbler—she makes silly “tough‑sounding” noises when she plays or wants attention, but it’s all part of her charm. She gets along well with other animals. She completely ignores our cat, and while she was initially indifferent to our dogs, she now plays with our male dog and has recently started cuddling with our female dogs too. She’s learning that dog friendships can be pretty great. Charlotte can be nervous when new people come into the home and will bark at first, but she warms up within about 30 minutes and then becomes her usual affectionate self. She rarely barks at outside noises unless our own dogs start the chorus. She’s been a wonderful house guest—she sleeps quietly in her dog bed in the kitchen when we’re gone, and at night she loves to sleep in bed with us, preferably squished between the pillows. She had a few accidents early on due to a urinary tract infection, but she hasn’t had an accident in weeks. Charlotte is a great walker and doesn’t react to people, walkers, or bikers on walks. She rides beautifully in the car—quiet, calm, and content. She knows “sit” and “come,” and with her food motivation, she’ll happily learn more. She will steal your food if you’re not paying attention… and she’ll definitely steal your heart. We are completely smitten with this sweet, silly, affectionate girl, and we know her forever family will be too.
