Story
Meet Jackson: The Adorable 5lb Pomeranian! Jackson is a sweet, 5-year-old Pomeranian who, due to his luxating patella's, is not a hiker or marathon runner. He prefers the comfort of stroller rides and enjoys life at a slower pace. Though he's a bit limited in his physical activities, he still loves to chase a ball (even if he prefers to run off with it instead of bringing it back). His playful nature and love for his owner make him a loyal companion, though he takes some time to warm up to new faces—about four days to be exact! He'll be friendly once he's comfortable, but be warned: he’s not afraid to show his teeth if a stranger gets too close. Jackson thrives in a calm, one-person home, where he can build a strong bond with his owner. He gets along well with other dogs in the home, who help him feel more social and confident. Jackson is independent when it comes to his bathroom habits—he’s mastered the doggie door. He’s a quick learner but may try a bit of marking, which he’s easily corrected from with some patience. This is way better now. He is working on leash training. He’s low maintenance when it comes to crate training and doesn’t whine, making him an easy dog to kennel. Jackson would do best in a quiet, stable home with no young kids and hasn’t been tested around cats. If you're looking for a small, loving companion who will warm your heart over time, Jackson might just be the perfect match for you! Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax

Age: Approximately Estimated DOB 2/7/2020 Dog friendly: Yes. Cat friendly: unknown Kid friendly: Yes, but prefers an adult only home Potty trained: Yes. Needs a regular schedule Crate trained: No Amira is a sweet, fun-loving pup that will add lots of energy to your home! On the other hand, she loves to cuddle up on a couch or dog bed and lounge around on lazy days. She is an easily excitable and vocal dog, so apartment living is not for her, but she will always be the first to greet you when you get home with the cutest bounce and biggest grin! She does well with the other dogs in the home, but she would be ok as an only dog as well. She is quite a peanut and came from a home where she was potty trained with a doggy door. When she gets let outside frequently, she is great at not having accidents inside! You won’t want to miss out on meeting this adorable girl! She’s ready to fill your home with so much love.

Story
Bonded pair- fence required. Cora and her son Scooby are a resilient, semi-feral duo with a bond that’s unbreakable. Rescued from a shelter in Wisconsin just before it closed, they’ve had very little human interaction over the years, making their journey to trust a slow and delicate process. Living now in a foster home, they are learning to navigate their newfound world with cautious curiosity. While they do live with other dogs and cats, Cora can be a little bossy at first when meeting new dogs. She takes her time assessing new situations, especially when it comes to the other animals in the house, but once she feels comfortable, she settles into the routine. Scooby is usually more laid-back, following Cora’s lead but always in his own quiet way. Cora is a protective and nurturing mom, always looking out for Scooby. The pair are a little skittish, but they’ve made strides—occasionally hopping into bed or joining us on the couch, though always staying just out of reach. They show their affection in their own quiet way, happy to see us when we come home, and they eagerly accept treats from our hand, a sign of the trust they’re building. Cora and Scooby are a work in progress, taking their time to adjust and embrace the love and comfort of a home. Though they may not yet be ready for full human interaction, their journey of trust and growth is a beautiful thing to witness. With patience and understanding, they continue to evolve, each day a little more open to the world around them. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax for both dogs together.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $300 plus taxMargie is an 8 yr old Pom/Beagle mix with a heart as big as her fluffy coat. Loves to cuddle and lay next to her person. Loves playing with her favorite lambchop toy. Does well in the home no need to be crated when alone and sits patiently for a treat after a walk.  As good as she is with her people she struggles with meeting strangers and outside the home can be a bit overstimulating for her. She will bark and nip at strangers. She has been working hard with a trainer to help overcome her 'stranger danger' reactions. Margie's ideal home would be single family with a chill lifestyle or limited visitors. Her adopters should be willing to continue working with Margie on meeting new people but a fenced yard would be a great benefit to her. Margie has not been tested with cats or kids at this time. If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
