Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      *SPECIAL NEEDS: Kensi is deaf and vision impaired, please read entire bio before applying to ensure Kensi is a good match for your home**   Kensi is a fluffy little Pomsky mystery who operates very much like a majestic woodland creature—sweet, curious, and happiest when she has her kingdom (aka your home) all to herself. She may be mostly blind and deaf, but don’t let that fool you. This girl navigates life with the confidence of someone who absolutely knows where the treat jar is at all times. Kensi is a one&#226&#128&#145dog show, and she prefers it that way. Other dogs? Hard pass. Cats? Also no. Farm animals? Surprisingly fine. Humans? Yes, please. She greets new people with friendly enthusiasm and will happily accept snacks, pets, and compliments about her fabulous coat. She enjoys wandering her yard like a tiny, fuzzy explorer, sniffing out the secrets of the universe (or at least the squirrels). She’s played with toys, enjoys treats, and trots along nicely on a leash. She’s potty trained, rides well in the car, and has just the right amount of sass to keep life interesting. Kensi is looking for a calm home where she can be the star of the show, the queen of the castle, the solo act in her own personal sitcom. She’s sweet, she’s quirky, she’s independent, and she’s ready to be someone’s loyal little sidekick—no other dogs required, thank you very much. If you’re looking for a unique, lovable companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Kensi is your girl. Many of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Good with dogs,
Story
Opportunity Arises (OA) is a mellow, gentle soul who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be outside of a breeding facility. True to his nickname, OA loves relaxing in his favorite spot by the fireplace and enjoys the calm companionship of his foster dog friend, Willy. OA is learning all sorts of “dog things” for the very first time. He happily goes outside and has even started doing a cute little twirl when he hears, “Do you want to go outside?” He follows Willy’s lead, though coming back inside is still a work in progress—and that’s okay. Everything is new to him. He eats twice a day with no food aggression, is gentle with his toys, and has been perfect in the house so far—no accidents at all! OA is quiet and docile; his foster has only heard him bark a couple of times, and only while outside. As he gains confidence, we believe he’ll show more of his playful side. Because OA is a retired breeding dog, life in a home is brand new. Stairs, leashes, potty training, and fast-moving objects can be scary for him. He currently will do 2 stairs to go outside but can not do a flight of stairs. He is not leash trained at all and at 31 pounds, he may need to be carried. He is making progress, but patience and understanding will be key as he continues to adjust. OA will require another dog in the home to help guide him and give him confidence, as well as a securely fenced yard. A calm, predictable environment will help him blossom into the sweet companion he’s meant to be. We have not seen him around cats. OA has only been out of the breeding facility for a short time, but his gentle heart is already shining through. With time, love, and the right home, Opportunity Arises truly lives up to his name. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org 💙 Adoption fee: $350 + tax

Story
Melody is a 31 lb Pomsky with her bright blue eyes and gentle soul, Melody may just be the perfect addition to your family. Melody came to us as a breeder surrender and is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She is very shy and mostly enjoys observing her foster siblings and people from a comfy distance. She is doing well with her potty training, although she often needs to be carried outside as doors can make her nervous. Breeder release dogs can take time to warm up and learn how to play and be dogs, but earning their trust is well worth it! Melody gets along well with other dogs and cats. She would do best with a confident dog to help show her the ropes. She also must have a securely fenced in yard as she is working on her leash skills and is a flight risk. She does not currently walk on a leash. If you are looking for a sweet and mellow soul, look no further! Melody is ready to find her forever home and find her people. ***fence is required. Another dog in the home is required*** Please research adopting a breeder release. Adoption fee: $350 + tax Apply to adopt: www.campcompanion.org

He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he realizes you’re kind, he warms up quickly and shows his sweet, playful nature. Neko loves toys — squeaky, plush, bouncy, you name it. He’s also famous for his signature happy dance, a full&#226&#128&#145body wiggle he breaks out whenever he sees his favorite humans. Along with his adorable moves, he knows a couple of tricks too: he can sit and shake like a pro. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys calm, easy strolls. He is happy going around the block or even a mile or two if you want. Neko does get a bit worried when his people leave, so you may hear a whine now and then. He’s not dramatic — just a sensitive little guy with a big heart who feels safest when his humans are close. About Me (from Neko): Hi future family — it’s me, Neko. Here’s what I’m hoping for in my forever home: • Someone patient and gentle who understands I need a little time to feel safe. • A human who enjoys playtime and appreciates my toy collection. • A family that won’t leave me alone for long stretches, since I feel most secure when my people are nearby. • A walking buddy who likes relaxed, pleasant strolls. If you’re looking for a loyal, expressive, toy&#226&#128&#145loving companion who will adore you with his whole fluffy heart, I’d love to meet you. Love, Neko  December 28, 2025, 2:42 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, I’m Milo, a fluffy little Pom mix with a big heart packed into my 15 pounds. I’m a gentle guy who loves attention, kisses, and being part of the action. I get along great with dogs, cats, and kids, and I’m always ready to make new friends.  I do especially well with the littles and am very patient with them.   I’m not a big barker, but if another dog starts up, I’ll happily join the chorus. I’m kennel trained, keep my space clean, and I’m working hard on my potty training—it’s coming along nicely when I’m on a good schedule. I am still learning about the leash, so until I figure that out I will need a fenced in yard where I can explore safely and do my business.   My favorite toys are squeaky ones, but don’t worry—I don’t destroy them, I just enjoy the sound. I’m affectionate, even-tempered, and gentle, and I love being talked to. I’m smart enough to know commands like “Kennel,” “Go Potty,” and even “Get Back” when the door is open. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be with people, whether we’re playing, walking, or just hanging out. I’ll do fine on my own if you’re busy, but I’ll be happiest in a home where I get plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, fluffy companion who will make you smile every day, I’m your guy. Love, Milo Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
