I'm Gelato, a sweet little Pomeranian weighing 7 pounds. I'm 5 years old and looking for a patient and loving home where I can feel safe and secure. I'm a bit skittish and cautious, especially around new people and in unfamiliar situations. Thunderstorms, loud noises, and overwhelming commotion can be pretty scary for me, so I need a calm and quiet environment where I can relax. Strangers also make me nervous, so I prefer a home without young children. At home, I like to take my time eating my kibble, but if there's another dog around, I'll eat a bit faster. Small bites of treats are my favorite. I'm about 75% potty trained and use potty pads, but I'm working on improving that. I love my crate; it feels like a safe place for me, especially for sleeping. When it comes to leash training, I need a bit more practice. Sometimes, I freeze when I'm on the leash, but with gentle encouragement, I'm sure I'll get better. I know a few commands like "Come" and "Outside," and I'm good with other dogs of all sizes. I don't need to be in a home with another dog as long as my humans are around most of the time. Although having another dog would help me thrive. Another dog can help me get on a routine, demonstrate positive interactions with people and show me how to be brave. If you're looking for a timid, gentle and loving companion who will appreciate your patience and kindness, I'm your girl. With time and understanding, I'll become a loyal and affectionate friend who loves to be by your side. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Hi! My name is Oregano and I am from Kentucky. From his foster: Oregano is a energetic puppy and is teething. Because he's a puppy he tends to chew on things he shouldn't but is easily redirected to appropriate items. He loves squeaky toys and is doing great with potty training. He does cute tippy taps with his front paws when he wants attention. Interacts well with everyone. Continuing to work on kennel training, potty training, and walking on a leash. He's 4 months old so everything is new and progressing well.

Hi! My name is Garlic and I am from Kentucky. Garlic loves people of all ages! He thinks everyone wants to give him pets and belly rubs. Naps in people's laps are one of his favorite pastimes, and he wants to follow people everywhere they go. He is incredibly sweet and sensitive. He can be wary of new dogs and takes some time to warm up to them. He would be happy as the only dog in the house, but could also live happily with a dog friend who is patient as he gets to know them. He does play with the resident dogs and is now very excited to see them. Stuffed toys, squeaky toys, and bones are all things Garlic thinks are pretty cool. Garlic is doing great learning his manners! He is learning not to jump on people or doors and has made big strides in that department. He knows sit, leave it, and down (to get off furniture or get his paws off the window sills). He is incredibly food motivated, so that helps greatly with training. He has not had any accidents in the house, and he sleeps silently in his kennel all night. However, during the day, he will bark and howl if he hears any sounds while he is in his kennel, so shared walls where he could hear the neighbors would not be an ideal home for him. He is doing really well with leash walking. He has so much love and happiness in him and can't wait to find his forever home!

Hi folks! My name is Archie and I came to Camp Companion with my sisters Anastasia and Charlotte. Being the only boy, I let my sisters take the lead in exploring new places and activities. However, once I'm comfortable, I'm a wiggly ball of energy and fluff! I really like running around my foster family's yard.
