Story
Sasha is a sweet and energetic girl. She is house trained and crate trained, and knows a few obedience commands and a couple of tricks. She is smart and willing to learn. She's friendly and playful with other dogs and fine with cats. She likes everyone that she has met. Sasha loves her walks, and she walks well on a leash, though she sometimes pulls. She'd probably enjoy some running or possibly training in a dog sport such as agility. Her favorite food is Farmers Dog, but she'll eat other foods mixed with it. She likes toys and gathers them and also an occasional sock. She hasn't chewed on anything except her sturdy chew toys from her original home. She does tend to bark when she sees something outside the window.  Sasha is 3 years old and about 11lbs.   Sasha would love a home with a playful dog, and a person or family who likes being active with  their dog.  Sasha's previous owner could no longer take care of her due to her own personal health issues.  She has been well loved her whole life and loves the diva lifestyle.  Her previous owner was a groomer and has kept her coat in excellent condition and would even dye on occasions.  Regular brushing and grooming is a must for this princess.  To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $350 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.January 11, 2026, 2:03 pm

Story
Logan is a young dog born  May 2025.  She is about 15 pounds.  Logan is looking for someone that will be home the majority of the time.  She would love to have a canine buddy in her new home.  She also does well with cats.  Her foster reports that she is potty-trained and doing great.  She sleeps all night in bed with her foster mom.  She is an active girl and needs a fenced in yard.   Here are some general traits of American Eskimo dogs: Intelligent, alert, and friendly companions with a thick, white double coat.  Loyal, energetic, and eager to please - which makes them highly trainable, though they can also be stubborn and prone to barking if not properly trained.  Affectionate with their families, possibly wary of strangers at first. Prone to having high energy levels that require regular exercise and mental stimulation. The suggested adoption donation for Logan is $525, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2604814##
